I disagree but I know your stance. As players there really is not anything Aldridge can do better than Love except shoot Fts and play slightly better D. The Fts kind of become even since Love usually gets to the line at a higer rate than Aldrige. I also like that Love is younger and lets remember Aldridge perception before Lillard.
Don't get me wrong, I'll take Love in a heartbeat..But I was really puzzled why he didn't step up on Cleveland..I think Aldridge is a better player..He is much more aggressive..You need a guy who can get his own shots and not be submissive to Melo..But as you say, we do need range..

I think Cleveland was a really bad fit for him. He can do so much on offense but they didn't use his strengths. I don't think a 3rd option behind Irving and Love would ever be highly productive - not beyond mid teens PPG.
Yeah, I initially thought he could be had at a small discount but LA would pay him that to revive life back into the Lakers or even Cleveland to save face on the trade..Might as well for the duration of Melo's deal..When the cap hits 96ish and 102, u won't notice it hopefully..It will sting for one year..

I don't think anyone desperately wants Wade or they wouldn't offer him 10 mil per...Thing is we aren't rebuilding because of Phil, Melo and we don't have next year's pick..We currently don't have a plan..Offering him 10 mil per would hurt just one year...When the cap goes to 102 mil, it doesn't matter..When u have a plan please do make suggestions..

Man I hate Wade, Bron, Bosh, KD, etc..I want to beat them all..But Wade isn't the same player anymore, he is diminished..No longer a threat..I don't know what is a Knick player anymore..Used to be guys like Shump..Defense first with a little attitude..Now we bringing Calderons of the world..Soft players..Our bench is lined with Laker scrubs..

The Wade move was contingent on getting an Aldridge/Love type player..And stick it to Riley and Bron at the same time..
Hate Bron in 2010 to some point, Love if he was a New York Knick though, no pun intended
It's a cold business and Riley is as ruthless as they come! Have to think they somehow find a middle ground. Either way, Wade left money on the table (at least he has Gabby to come home to).
