Knicks · trade down Denver Knicks Boston (page 1)

BRIGGS @ 6/4/2015 2:49 PM
Knicks trade pick #4 Knicks get picks 7 16 and 28

Denver trades pick 7 Denver gets Marcus Smart and pick 32

Boston gets pick #4

holfresh @ 6/4/2015 2:51 PM
Kaminsky again, I would have never guessed...
NYKBocker @ 6/4/2015 2:54 PM
I like this trade
crzymdups @ 6/4/2015 2:57 PM
I'm guessing Denver will want to hire a coach before making this kind of trade.

They also supposedly want to ship out Lawson's contract and/or Faried's contract in a deal like this.

Knicks1969 @ 6/4/2015 3:04 PM
I like the trade, but I want STEIN with those picks

Word is denver is high on MDA and you know what he can do with a speedy PG who can shoot, penetrate
, and finsh.

I would definitely do a faried and #7 for THJ and #4th with the trade exception

FistOfOakley @ 6/4/2015 3:09 PM
i would want more 2nd rd picks thrown in but this looks ok...

i don't like the names being thrown about if we trade down.. jerian grant.. trey lyles.. that's what scares me if we do a deal like this... the possibility of us royally screwing up goes up exponentially since we're making more picks further down... you have to really do your homework which i don't think the knicks have if they are targetting really horrible guys in the mid first rd like that...

franco12 @ 6/4/2015 3:10 PM
I like the trade, but don't like giving Boston a #4. I'd be making it that much harder each year to beat them out for the last play off spot.

Yeah, Lawson might change his tune if MDA is there, I would think.

Would be ironic if Lawson stayed for MDA after MDA's Knicks snubbed him for Hill in the 2009 draft.

BRIGGS @ 6/4/2015 3:15 PM
You could do something like this

7 Kaminsky/Porzingis
16 Grant/Wright
28 Mickey/ Fuzaro/Tokoto/Wood

WaltLongmire @ 6/4/2015 3:17 PM
Why would Denver do this trade, though?

Is Smart a favorite of someone over there?

I was about to post the same question. Give up the 7th pick for Marcus Smart is bad. They might as well draft Winslow.

Two different players. Smart was the 6th pick in the draft last year. Hes a big defensive minded PG who should be able to really grow in the nBA. He was all 2nd team rookie.
nixluva @ 6/4/2015 4:59 PM
By all means we must not let Ainge get his hands on WCS!!! That would be a huge problem for us. That could be all he needs to build a great defensive team. I want the Knicks to be that team in the Atlantic. You can't give Ainge want he wants he's no fool.
ramtour420 @ 6/5/2015 8:46 PM
This is one is at least worth considering.hmm
Rosey @ 6/5/2015 8:54 PM
If Knicks don't love what's there at #4, then they should definitely do this - to get a top 10 plus two additional picks. That's a lot for Boston to give up.
BigRedDog @ 6/5/2015 11:14 PM
This is actually a really fair trade all around. I think if you are the Knicks you might have to take this trade. Very deep draft

This is a move the Knicks should make if it is there for them. I think the Celtics think they can get into the top 10-11 moving their pick(16) and a second rounder and either get Stein or Lyles. If Stein is their guy then they might do this trade.

Denver and Boston are both swimming in future first rounders. I would hope the knicks could pick up at least 1 maybe 2 2016 pick(s) if they did a trade with both teams.

"The Hornets are dangling this pick for anyone that will take Lance Stephenson's dead weight contract off of their hands. A team such as Orlando with some cap space could decide to take its chances with Lance, who has the talent to justify the contract. It's just a matter of inspiring him to stay focused." - See more at: http://hoopshype.com/draft_2015.htm#....dwmsmIa9.dpuf

For the 9th pick of this draft. I would do it in a heartbeat. His contract isn't that bad and the pick. The Knicks have the space yo do this
