That's a very interesting trade there but would love to find a way to get Lawson in that same trade but with the 2016 1st rounder it would be hard to do. Big fan of Manimal though and he'd be perfect next to Melo.
the triangle requires players with old-fashioned basketball skills. i like him very much as a player but only in a more free form up and down offense. same idea holds true for lawson. his game such as it is would be squandered in the triangle too.

Because I don't want Lawson period. He's played over 80 games in exactly one season as a pro and he's not a good 3 point shooter.
I don't want to trade the pick, at all. Period. I don't care what we may get in return because I'm sure we'd get screwed based on our history and phils trading skills and history so far don't inspire confidence. I'd much rather keep the pick and pray Mudiay or whoever becomes a cornerstone.
Have at least a little faith in this new regime. I mean don't give up on them before they even get started.

Lawson certainly fits the criteria: Injury prone, on the decline, bad defense, bad attitude issues (and a DUI) and a hefty contract. He is everything the Knicks ask for in return for a draft pick!
When are we going to get real about fixing our defense? We keep saying we want a team that plays defense, but then some of you throw it out the window if a player is flashy on on offense. At some point we have to get serious about it and stop pursuing players who can't play it.

It is Francessa. I don't think he has any sources in regards to the nba. Also, the Knicks seem to be trying to rid themselves of these types even if they are not getting as much as some think they should. I don't think there is anyway this deal happens.
