Would open up our choices for folks who like OK4, Russell, or Mudiay. at least 2 would probably be available.

Don't understand why Philly would do it, though, unless they're working on some kind of deal.

Does say something about how Porzingis is valued, by some- guess they don't value Stein as much as some do.

They do have a player named Saric in Europe. Not as tall, but seems to fit into their lineup better.

Might be some smokescreen action, too.

EwingsGlass @ 6/6/2015 1:20 AM
Sixers have more draft picks this year than roster spots. A Eurostash or two is smart.

Have one in Saric, and Porzingis wants to play this year. Dropped out last year to mature a bit.

Pre-draft posturing, I think, maybe they're looking for a trade, but if not, we seem to benefit.

To me past pick #2 is all speculative. I know some guys will be really good but I cant definitely say this guy is better than that guy etc.. I like the two big guys and I like Kaminsky. I think Mudiay and Russell are about tied and both should be very good. Both Euros are speculative but both have tremendous athletic talent and size for their positions WCS is a starnge hot and cold player but hes a true 5 Winslow could be really good but will bigger players hurt him? --then you start getting into projects and maybe secondary talents.

I think you look at the top like this

Towns
Okafor
the two guards and Kaminsky

-------a little tier down
Winslow
Euros
--------a little tier down
Grant
WCS
Payne

Not much on Hezonja, who might be the most enjoyable payer to watch in this draft.

If he had played in the U.S. at a good BB school, he would be the second coming of Pistol Pete Maravich.

He looks incredible hes got a great shot he can handle very well hes super athletic he can play defense what is there not to like? I mean would you pass on him for Willie Stein? Id rather take him. And you're right if he played at Duke hed probably be pick 2 or 3. Id rather take a big swing with the bases loaded--a single is nice but the four runs are better. I havent read where the Knicks are working him out?

I've never heard us linked to him in any way.

If we had a good team that had dropped into the top ten because of injuries, a la SA when they got Duncan, I could see taking him and working him into a system with solid veteran leadership, but we are not that team.

Almost too good to be true when you see him of video.

Probably want to see some full games, warts and all, against great opponents. before I consider him.

FistOfOakley @ 6/6/2015 3:31 AM
don't ever believe anything coming out of the sixers camp/media... it's like this every draft for them where they get attached to a lot of different players and no one actually knows who they're going to pick...
Rosey @ 6/6/2015 8:42 AM
Hard to believe. Does Philly think this guy is ready? How much time would he get behind the two young big men they already have. More Euro stashing? At some point you would think they have to start playing to actually win. If it's true the door is wide open.
Top picks are Townes and Okafor. After that, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Next grouping would be Russell, Mudiay, Stein, Winslow, 2 Euros, and Kaminsky. Knicks have to evaluate their choice in tandem with what they want to do in free agency.
StarksEwing1 @ 6/6/2015 8:46 AM
Good let them draft him. Sorry but im not comfortable taking euro players that high, it rarely works out

With Kaminsky he can play 4-5 at 7-1 and even if we signed two free agents hes a guy who could be interchangeable. If we stay at pick 4 and take Mudiay thats fine as well. Thats probably where Im at personally Id like to walk out of the draft with either Kaminsky or Mudiay. I just think the way the NBA is now--that Kaminsky with his 3 point arsenal in combination with his low post moves passing rebounding and ability to defend the post(I think he needs a solid 10 pounds but thats not a concern)would help more in a win now team but would be fine with Nudiay. I think my dark horse is Hezonja I hope they take a hard look at him. If any of the wings in this draft have star potential its him. Winslow has a better body than Hezonga but Hezonga is much more skilled IMHO.

i like kaminsky BUT im still not sold on him being a impact nba player. If we had a mid round pick id take him but at 4 mudiay or winslow would probably be the safest choices unless one of the big 3 falls

We can only _hope_ Philly takes Pozingis. That would be a huge coup for the Knicks to have Russel or Okafor on the board.

yeah. I still bet they realize it was dumb to try and win the last three games. I mean they would have been golden if they just used their heads lol

It also fits with what Hinkie likes to do. It would save them 4 mil on the cap and he could continue to stockpile assets.
Vmart @ 6/6/2015 10:32 AM
I say hell no to Prozingis high euro big man bust potential. Euro players are basically serviceable best very rarely do you get Nowitzki or Gasol type. Do you want serviceable or very good player at the top of the draft.

You guys are fooling around with the process by throwing in Euro players but I say walk away. Or take them in the low tier of the round or second round.

The Euro guy I think has the MOST value is Fuzaro because if you look at where he'l be drafted--my guess is 27-37--he represents the value of a player who could be worth much more without the risk of the Euro lottery bust. In this particular year I do NOT think either Porzingis or Hezonga will be busts but Fuzaro is where the value is.

crzymdups @ 6/6/2015 10:45 AM
Chad Ford is almost always wrong and lied to at this time of year. Smoke screen.

I agree that is where you find your Euro players.

I think every team is enamored by Porzingis since i've heard of Minny, Philly and Lakers like him but will one of them draft him is the question?? That we won't know until they draft their picks.
