Nets are in a bind. They almost have to retain Lopez and gamble his health holds up. They're in cap hell either way. I heard rumors that they may try to unload Johnson and his salary. Not sure what that gets them outside of some financial relief. They seem stuck in the 35-45 win fringe range for the next few years. When will the Russian bail out???

I think Netsdaily had something about them moving Johnson to Detroit.

Any deal s right for deron. Doesn't he have four years left on a max deal?
NardDogNation @ 6/8/2015 1:00 PM
That being the case, I definitely expect their pick to be available and I'd even be inclined to acquire Joe Johnson to get it, on the condition that they take back some salary to make the deal work. Once we hit the cap, I'd love to sign and trade some of our low cost free agents whose Bird Rights we own.
