The level of leadership is beyond Jordan, and not that he was not capable, but it was never called for as the Bulls were a deep excellent roster! Lebron is doing some super freaky leadership thing I don't think has been done before.

They not out of the woods yet, but if not for the first game lapse the'd be up 3-0!!!!

Warriors are not playing badly either!!!!

Jordan's 6-0 perfection in the finals is a thing of beauty. Russells 11 chips in 13 years is the golden standard. Kobe never had to do what Lebron is trying to do. Im rooting for lebron to forge his legacy.

Its not Russells, or jordans, but something different. Thats even better!

Jordans 6-0 perfection was a thing of beauty ... agree ... but pippens 6-0 perfection is a thing of beauty too. Also, Pippen was a terrible call away from being a favorite in the finals to make him 7-0 without jordan.

Lebron is doing this with a terrible roster and if you took him off, they would be a terrible team.

this win would cement him right up there.

And almost another triple double last night again ... if only his teammates could shoot a bit better but he is sure getting them to play balls to the wall defense.

Lebron sets very high expectations for his teammates and he is leading them to accomplish these.

The Bulls lost in the second round to the Knicks without Jordan..How would he have been a favorite in the Finals???

Out of curiosity, are you ranking Lebron ahead of Duncan? Duncan has almost 20 years of HOF level play. Duncan might not have been able to carry a crappy team to a championship (I suspect you'll say this) but Lebron might not be able to play 20 HOF years either. I'm not saying total win shares is the only factor I look at but I do like the simplicity of the notion of looking at how many total wins a player has contributed in his basketball career.

yeah ... you care more about compiling than I do.

It does mean something but it does not make Duncan a better player because he did it for longer.

Magic and Jordan did not have long careers and nobody seemed to care.

Well, compiling diminishes what I'm saying. I care about total production. If someone says I'll give you $15 mil over 10 years, or $10 mil over 6 years, you could call the extra $5 mil just compiling. I'd call it real money though.

its more like 20 million for 10 years for 10 million for 20 years.

what about magic and jordan?

again, Duncan definitely gets credit for longevity, especially for HOF but the best ever args are how you did on the floor. and were you the best ever at any given time.

As a matter of fact I do, you were trying to say Jordan was great but had Pippen's help which is a lame avenue to waltz down given the Bron had Wade and Bosh, against a weaker field for his two rings...You further tried to illustrate your point by saying Pippen was one bad call away from making the Finals without Jordan, which was not true...He lost in the second round to the Knicks that year...

If Cleveland wins it would be great but this would not be the most miraculous win ever. I compared what Lebron is doing now to what Dirk did against him when he was in Miami but the truth is Dallas might have had an even worse roster than CLeveland does right now and Dirk had to carry that roster the whole year in the Western Conference. Dirk won with arguably less talent and against a more talented team than GSw.

This Cleveland win would just help remove some of the stain of that lose, imo.

Nalod @ 6/10/2015 12:29 PM
I fogot which game but when Jordan was out in the series against the knicks Phil drew up a play that did not have pippen taking the last shot. He actually pouted and sat down with like 9 seconds. Toni Kukoc hit a buzzer beater which in effect bailed Pippen out but tarnished him. I think he grew from the moment but it was a terrible moment for him.

Knicks still had to beat I think Indy and then lost to Rockets. I don't see where Bulls would have been favorites.

It was Game 3. I'll never forget that series.

Krauss at the time, offered Kukoc more money than Michael and Pippen was making, even after they were winning back to back titles...That's why they were pissed...
