Knicks · Would this work? (page 1)

I know we often post trades that only benefit us, but so far the general consensus in the league is that THJR can ball...

Now that they traded lance stephenson to the clips, and rumor is they are going to waive mat barnes, what if we offered charlotte Early and THJR for the number 9 pick?

They get a proven player and we take all the risk in selecting someone who could be a complete bust

I don't think Charlotte would even consider that. You can possibly get any of the following depending on how the 1st 8 play out(stating the obvious)...WCS, Kaminsky, Payne and Lyles. I think any of those players are better than THJr and Early....at least not at this stage in their careers.

Yeah...this is a pretty good draft 1-10, IMO.

If Hardaway had shown improvement and consistency throughout the year, and some new found defensive savvy, and Early had played the entire season and showed promise...maybe.

But then again, if these two things had happened you might not want to trade them.

I read that past 20, there is a huge drop off in talent in this draft and that teams picking after 20 are making their picks available. Doubt anyone trades a top 20 pick though.

Any links on that?

Also read something in LakerNation about Kupchak not really looking to have 3 rookies on the Lakers. Makes you think the 27th and 34 may be in play, unless he uses them in some kind of trade to move down if someone he likes falls.

There is literally 0 chance that Charlotte would agree to that. THJr and Early have absolutely no value. THJr was bad his rookie year and even worse this past season. Early was one of the worst players in the league and he's already 24.

Just....no. Rashad Vaughn and Sam Booker might already be better than THJr, yet most mocks have them not being lottery picks. You might be able to grab a late first for him though, which would still be a stretch.

THJR was in the discussion for ROTY , he was far from bad his rookie year

Charlotte might be interested in Tim but not for the 9th pick. My guess is his value is an early second round pick.

Lol, no he wasn't. He finished 5th in a terrible draft class with a total of 23/620 points. MCW received 569 pts and 104 out of 124 1st place votes. THJr finished behind Mason Plumlee in ROY voting.
