Knicks · Who Does Isiah like? (page 1)

anrst @ 6/16/2015 1:30 PM
Isiah is gonna influence who we pick, if not make the pick indirectly.

It's happening.

Isiah will tell, or has told, Dolan what he thinks (for example: Mudiay is the man, don't buy into Prozingas, Winslow is a bust, etc).

This information will be in Dolan's head, and Dolan, whether he tells Phil/Mills it came from Isiah or is his own opinion or not, will communicate this to Phil (Phil, we gotta have Mudiay, Phil, no way I'm paying Winslow, etc).

That's just the way it is.

So how do you think Isiah views Porzingas, Mudiay, Winslow?

I'm thinking Isiah is down on Mudiay, loves Winslow, hates Porzingas.

mudiay and winslow

This is the one area he should have been in charge of in the knicks front office. If he were an assistant GM/head of scouting (in charge of the draft) or whatever, what a valuable asset he would have been. But as President/Coach, completely destroyed the franchise for many years.
Nalod @ 6/16/2015 1:50 PM
I don't think Phil would even take a call from Isiah. If Dolan told Phil who to draft he'd walk out the door.
Dolan might ask Phil. Dolan might even have a preference and discuss pro's and cons of some players.
But if he told phil who to take I see damage to the relationship. I know dolan has meddlesome history but he got up in front of the world and pledged 60 million to PHil and said he was getting the phuck out the way.

Renaldo Balkman
crzymdups @ 6/16/2015 2:03 PM
Isiah probably likes Russell.
anrst @ 6/16/2015 2:05 PM
what if we draft a guy with the idea of pairing him with Monroe but isiah doesn't like monroe and then dolan lowballs on the contract

there's just too many ways for isiah to back channel this thing into disarray, and i have a much easier time believing he will than he won't

WaltLongmire @ 6/16/2015 2:07 PM
Figure he would want a PG at this point...

...someone he can work with in a few years.

GoNyGoNyGo @ 6/16/2015 2:28 PM
Pjax will resign if Dolan tells him who to pick.
Nalod @ 6/16/2015 2:31 PM
Isial likes Anuch. Dolan paid 11 mil becuase he wanted a hug.

is still in the league, getting paid 8 mill per. If Phil's EGO wasn't through the roof, he may have consulted with IT.

Why? Is Isiah in charge? Does Isiah have the coaching chops he does? Is Isiah a good judge of charactor?
Has Phil blown many draft picks? Does he need help?

You really putting Phil under the bus in favor of Isiah?

Vmart @ 6/16/2015 4:53 PM
I feel Isiah and Phil like the same player.
WaltLongmire @ 6/16/2015 5:18 PM
No idea who Thomas would want but...

This is Isiah at the Porzingis workout.

Isiah at a secret workout Mudiay did for him.

Isiah at a Willie Cauley Stein Workout

Just sayin'...

Phil has never drafted anyone, Isiah was pretty solid at that. And yes, of course Phil needs help.
WaltLongmire @ 6/16/2015 5:51 PM
If I was Phil, even if I did not want any kind of official contact with Isiah, I wouldn't mind hearing through the grapevine what he thought.

Phil would never want to give him any kind of credit, but I would want to hear everyone's opinion.

Can't hurt, and hearing different perspectives is always a good thing.

CrushAlot @ 6/16/2015 6:13 PM
He likes short billionaires with Napoleon complexes. He isn't going near this pick.
thejerk @ 6/16/2015 8:35 PM
Whether Phil goes Jimmy's way or not, do you see how cancerous this mfer can be?
