That would be a top 4 seed in the East. Barnes is young and still has potential to improve.The key is whether the Knicks can sign someone better than Bogut in free agency. Bogut made 2nd team all defense. Gasol will re-sign with MEM. Jordan will re-sign with LAC. I doubt Chandler would go back. Do you guys want Monroe or Asik instead of Bogut?
The Warriors can shed salary. Draft WCS. Perhaps dump Lee in a separate deal to gain max cap room. They could offer Tyson Chandler a one year maximum contract. Sign Pierce to a one year deal for the MLE. Then use their bird rights to re-sign Green. They can maintain cap flexibility to make a run at Durant in 2016.

This is the worst trade I have heard! Sorry nothing personal. I mean you are watching that Bogut and Ezeli are barely playing and Bogut is on his last legs? The NBA is getting faster and the trend will pick up steam.
You want to give the best team the 4th pick to possibly land another franchise player in addition to Curry and Thompson in exchange for role players?

For this series that is the correct strategy. It's all about match ups. Bogut and Ezeli played a lot of minutes in the other series.

Guys like Mudiay and porzingis are projects that could easily become busts. You have to take Melo's age into consideration. Two starters from a championship team isn't exactly trash. WCS will become Tyson Chandler in about 2 seasons. IMO there is a big drop off from the top 3 picks to the 4th pick unfortunately.

If the knicks are hign on WCS, Mudiay, or porzingis then they should take them at 4. The worst thing to do is trade down for a guy like kaminsky. My trade scenario is just an alternative to trading down.

They are going to re-sign Green. They haven't said anything about Barnes. It has been reported that they want to make a run at Durant in 2016.
Not only is this a horrifyingly terrible trade that we should never do how do you figure we still have max cap space afterwards? Not including our draft pick we'll have about $30M to play around with this Summer. Those three players combined make just under $18M leaving us with $12M.
Not particularly interested in this trade. Barnes and Ezeli don't impress me. Bogut I would take, but not for the #4 pick.
Now what I would find interesting, would you take David Lee back for a player to be named later as a salary dump? I say yes.
