That is great for Orlando. I liked what Indy did picking up Christmas as well.

I wonder if Riley even scouts that draft anymore because I can't remember the last draft pick they kept the length of their rookie contract besides Wade

If I remember correctly, I recall reading that Napier was a present for James when they were hoping he'd stay in Miami (I think he had called him the best player in the NCAA tournament.), not unlike what the Kings did for Cousins with Stein after the Cousins/Lakers melodrama.

Final year of a contract that pays him $4,300,000.

They have been giving away draft picks before Napier though but I get that Lebron wanted Napier.

Knicks would have to stretch Calderon to take him but they might get a second round pick or something if they took his contract.

Has Riley ever dealt with the Knicks since he took over the heat?

I don't think so and I don't think he and Phil are fond of each other.

Celtics putting Hinkie to shame. As they are doing the same thing he does but they are competitive, have a ton a future assets and a bunch of young talent already on the roster. They will soon look to trade a collection of players for a stud. But I don't see any becoming available to them (Cousins? Melo?)

They have 17 guaranteed contracts and probably sell some players for more future assets.
