http://newyorksportsguys.com/2015/06/21/...Good read. I think both Mudiay and KrisP are quality prospects. I think they are under consideration. A lot will depend on what kind of offers the Knicks receive for the #4 pick if Towns, Okafor and Russell are gone. At that point I think they have to look at alternative plans. I think a lot of the players after that top 3 are a lot closer than some believe. You can still get a very good player after #4. If Phil can turn that pick into more assets I think he must consider it.

Pretty much agree with this: if we're going to trade down for better value, then who we pick at #4 is n/a.
However, if we're making the pick, the reason for taking Mudiay/Zinger is simple...TAKE THE BEST PLAYER AVAILABLE, regardless of fit or need. Pick for talent and reconfigure roster as needed via trades, FA, etc.

Mudiay/Zinger are the best players with upside (BPU)
Winslow/WCS are the best players available (BPA)
I hope Philly takes Russell so that he is off the table -- prefer a choice of Mudiay and Zingy.
I think I take Porzingis.

I take Mudiay. He's the Triangle combo guard we need (a la MJ and Kobe). Next season, after Mudiay establishes his leadership, we trade Melo for assets/picks. But I'd be happy if we take Zinger, too. He's a project with serious upside. Probably send him to Euro league for one season.
Hold the phone, are there seriously people on this forum who would take Mudiay over Russell?

?????????
Wasting our pick on a guard who can't shoot dosen't make any sense. We might as well try and get reggie jackson or tyreke evans for that matter.

Yup. Most analysts had Mudiay ahead of Russel all season so it's not some far fetched idea. History shows that Mudiay can work on his j and improve it (all reports are that he's a gym rat). Russels not going to learn how to be a better athlete.

No, way. This is all assuming the big 3 are off the board (Towns/OK4/Russell). It's about BPA at #4.
In response to "he can't shoot it" claims...It's an obvious concern, but one mitigated by the success similar players have had in "fixing" their jump shots post-draft (e.g., John Wall). I am willing to take a flyer on him regardless of his "issues" with jump shot. He will be fine.
I think I will be depressed if we end up trading down.

I was depressed when we won those STUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUPID games.

mudiay has more potential than russell if he can fix his jumper

His J is just fine and the rest of his game is superb. Russell will be a good player, Muldiay could be a great player.
