Knicks · Berger suggesting the Nuggets if they have both the 6th and 7th pick might use it to trade for the knicks pick (page 1)

Just speculation but I think you have to do that if you are the knicks.
Ty Lawson on the move? Though the talks have yet to gain traction, Sacramento and Denver have discussed a deal involving point guard Ty Lawson, league sources say.

Kings coach George Karl is desperate to find a starting point guard, and pressure is coming from owner Vivek Ranadive to make the playoffs this season. A deal sending the Kings' No. 6 pick to Denver for Lawson would give the Nuggets the sixth and seventh picks to include in discussions with the Knicks for the fourth pick -- or, simply jumpstart their ever-evolving youth movement with two top-10 players in a talented draft. Nik Stauskas, the Kings' first-round pick in 2014, continues to be available in trade talks, sources say.

and as always, berger knows what he's talking about. if the knicks have the opportunity to trade #4 for #6,#7 you HAVE to do it. i would 100% use one of those picks on trey lyles. in my opinion, he is the most underrated player in this draft.

#4 and Hardaway for 6 and 7. Draft the 2 BPA, likely Winslow and WCS. That would be a job well done.
mreinman @ 6/22/2015 5:59 PM
4 for 6 and 7??

ugh ... you have to be freakin kidding me?

then trade WCS to Indiana for #11 and a 2016 first.

Speculation but definitely entertaining. I'd do that deal if it were possible. Dont see the Kings giving up the 6th pick for Lawson though.

1,000,000 times yes!

George Karl wants to do it- he basically said so in an interview yesterday. Doesn't really like 19 year old players.

What's wrong with that? Likely nuggets draft Mudiay at 4, Porzingis goes to Magic at 5, leaving us to pick up Winslow and WCS, or whomever (lyle, Kaminsky, Payne, Looney, Hezonja)

yeah, there is nothing to dislike about that posibility because the knicks still get at least one out of Winslow, Stein, or zingis. My two would be Winslow and Turner but that's me. If the Knicks like Lyle or Kaminsky then they can trade back with the 7 pick and gain more assets.

nixluva @ 6/22/2015 6:15 PM
That's a great deal for the Knicks IMO. To come out with 2 top 10 picks in this draft. Winslow n WCS or Kaminsky is a GREAT draft.
wargames @ 6/22/2015 6:15 PM
Its speculation (hell I brought this scenario up myself a few weeks ago) but this is the ideal scenario I think for the knicks if they don't want Mudiay. Kings stock up for a playoff run, Nuggets get a young star to build around that might need 2-3 seasons to develop, knicks get players to build cheap depth around (and maybe a contract dump) who might become stars but not as likely as mudiay.

It sounds like he might like moving Cousins to the Lakers as well.

I can see this happening a lot quicker than the Kings agreeing to move cousins to just go up 1 spot in the draft along with vucevic.

That would be incredible. I really want Winslow and getting Stein to match would be insane

It would be an instant reset.

I'm a huge Mudiay fan but even if we missed out on him I like this deal, dependent on who we take of course.

I'm wouldn't be surprise if they didn't go Winslow at 6 and use the &th pick in maybe the Bledsoe/#13 deal. I believe I saw that that Phx has been shopping him to a lot of lottery teams. Bledsoe and one of lyles/Looney/Kaminsky would connect all the rumor dots.

crzymdups @ 6/22/2015 6:45 PM
This trade would be fantastic. I would sign up for it. Draft Winslow and Stein.

That's a great haul for the #4 pick. I don't want to get too excited about the possibilities of that happening. It's too good to be hoped for. That would really changed the direction of the franchise. You could still make a deal for another pick to try and grab a guard later.
