1.) Will we be able to use our cap space to acquire contracts during the draft?
2.) When we finally have access to our cap space, can we theoretically sign and trade for a player that exceeds the amount of the allotted cap space? For instance, if we only had $10 million in cap space and wanted to pay Monroe $12 million to start, could we entice the Pistons to do a sign and trade that nets them a $12 million exception and allows us to pay our intended a higher price?

Does anyone know how much money we have left to spend from the 3m we could use each year, starting from last year?
That we can use to buy picks and use in trades?
And when does it get ressetted again, with a fresh 3m that we could use for rights for players/trades??
