Knicks · Thank you Fisher (page 1)

Because of you, we lost a chance to truly solidify our future. I know nick4ever and others are going to blast me for this post, but I don't care. With one of the worse records in years, we should be looking at at least one of the top three picks; not sitting on the forth pick. For that, I will forever hate you.

We should be looking @ drafting:
TOWNS
Okafor
Russell

Not scrubs or unknowns like Mudiay or Porzingis

StarksEwing1 @ 6/24/2015 4:44 PM
Just made a similar thread. Agreed but thats why as a knick fan its tough to have much faith. For the past 15 years we have suffered incompetence and bad luck
fishmike @ 6/24/2015 4:45 PM
You should really be thanking FireWoodson, he's the only one keeping this from being dumbest post of the year.
nyk4ever @ 6/24/2015 4:47 PM
1+1=27

Lets complain about it some more. That will change everything!

It is almost a guarantee that someone outside of the top 3 will be better than one of these players you listed above. They will not be the top 3 in 5 years. That is just the way it works. It happens every year. We will have to find that player tomorrow. I think this post is very shortsighted, no offense.

i dont get this question marks around mudiay, guy is going to be a beast

I counted with my fingers and came up with 14. Are you sure it's 27?

Total waste of thread space. Hopefully Martin or Andrew shut this down.

This has been talked about ad infinitum by some of you clowns, and I have the same f'n response:

You want to blame people you have two targets, and it seems to be all about "feet":

Anthony takes the blame for showing more concern about his sneaker contract and his brand than the welfare of the team-he had the perfect excuse to close things down, and chose not to

Jackson for not putting his foot down and either closing Anthony down before they did or simply telling Fisher to sit him on the bench and not play him- he also had a great reason for shutting Anthony down- a high contract player who was playing with an injury that was known to require a surgical process.

You don't blame the coach and the players for what they did. They had to go out there every night, usually undermanned and clearly without comparable talent, and play their butts off because that is what real athletes and competitors do.

A famous admonition I always use:

Better to remain silent and let everyone think you're a fool that to open your mouth and remove all doubt. Thanks for removing the doubt.

are you sure you're not just not allafan'd?

meloshouldgo @ 6/24/2015 8:12 PM
It's also Fisher's fault that I didn't win the powerball the last 30 odd times I bought a ticket.
mreinman @ 6/24/2015 8:19 PM
I don't know who I blame but its a travesty that we are at #4. Probably something that we talk about for 50 years after the top three all first ballot HOFers
meloshouldgo @ 6/24/2015 8:21 PM
Why do Knick fans always have to assign blame? How can there be anyone to blame for a lottery system?

The Lakers had worse odds than us. A lottery is a mechanism driven by "luck" or "Chance". If it falls it falls if it doesn't get over it and move on. Accept we are not as lucky as some other teams. We could have won the top pick and that would have had just as little to do with Fisher.

how would you like if you were trying to draw a flush and the dealer decided to remove one of your outs?

meloshouldgo @ 6/24/2015 8:31 PM
It would not depend on the result. Unfortunately the blame being heaped on fisher is ex-post

The two teams behind us jumped ahead.

There were probably people in LA and Philly crying about not tanking enough to have a worse record than us, and those teams were actually trying to tank, like Minny, by keeping players out of the game.

The Minny ball was chosen at #3, too!

Maybe they should remove the balls of the teams which are already picked... Seems fair, and might have helped our odds, but still, nothing is guaranteed, even if your odds of being picked are improved statistically.

This is something you move on about. Everyone here is pissed off at the lottery, but folks show their ignorance when they talk about things they don't understand, and blame a coach and players for trying to win.
