Whether you like the pick or not, he's a Knick now. Support your team.
Is it true the Latvia league he played in is the 2nd best in the league behind just the NBA? I thought I heard them say that on ESPN
Welcome darko..i mean frederic. I mean kris
Welcome. The only reason I'm semi pissed is cuz we drafted someone I'm not too familiar with. It just means I need to digest this and learn more about the kid.
Should say Knicks in the title. Wish I could change it
I can get behind this pick. I'm not convinced there isn't a trade on the horizon, but for now he's a Knick. Once a Knick always a Knick.
Drink again.

It is a trade. Porzingis will be traded but i wouldn't mind him staying a Knick at all but he's gonna get traded.
I'm hopeful, but if we're keeping this pick, boy is this a tough sell. If we are doing a long-term plan, we should probably trade Carmelo.
I like the pick, that is what I would have done, will take 1-2 years to develop
He would be able to fit in with SMALL or BIG BALL with his mobility/ability to spread the floor/space the floor as a LEGIT 3pt shooter/ put the ball on the floor/ but has legit TOUGHNESS and WORK ETHIC that some Euro's lacked

Keep telling yourself that. Not likely.
get a guy who is 2 years out when your team needs help now and you don't got a pick next year....
Fvck Phil jackson for that pick
and if this asshole is the move why are there rumors the knicks want david west

you arent winning with melo as the main guy at this point in his agree. I agree i would love to trade and do a true rebuild. Only then does this pick make sense

exactly. time to shop melo hard
All this kid has to do is get with a great nutritionist and trainer and put on that muscle. He can play PF/SF now and develop. It's an upside pick which a lot of people said we should do. Some scouts have said he could be the best player in this draft some day so I can't know the pick. Phil swung for the fences. You can't hold that against him at #4 he too the player with the most upside.
Hope we find a trade where we can pick up Grant/Payne/Kaminsky and get a future first.
If Porzingis can make the transition to the NBA, we will get a very scary two way player. The potential for him to be a bust is there, but Porzingis has shown a passion for improving his game, becoming great. If Phil is going to take a chance on a player with a big upside, thats the kind of player I want him taking a chance on.

Melo is unmovable. Very interesting pick for Kings. Cousins may be on the move.
Done with knicks

Yeah Phil did what many said he should do. Pick a BPA for the teams future and not just some guy who could fit right now. That's all you can ask of him.
