If non of the big guys sign with us...I want Hernangomez in this year to get him up and running sooner. I wonder if the Knicks can help him with his buyout.
CrushAlot wrote:Should the Knicks get Koufos and try to get Harris from Orlando?
Well, we could at least F with OKC and offer Koufos a near max deal with trade kicker and other incentives that tie their hands a bit.
I think I prefer going with more defense, like Robin Lopez.

I guess they get Lopez at maybe 10 - 12 and then use the rest on another player or trade for someone as a cash dump for another team for assets

Is he worth that, though?
I know he is a rim protector and we desperately need that, but we also need a low post scorer and second voice to Melo and Monroe was promising as such.
Meh

That's what Asik got and they are within that kind of range of each other as players. The knicks would still have between 8-10 mil is space to go after another piece.
I wish we would go after biyombo he'd complement kp in the second unit... He's only 22 and was really starting to come together at the end of last year

I would do that. What would he cost?
Doesn't seem like a Triangle big though, honestly.

He's like a Ben Wallace he's a great defensive presence next to a lee, or kanter
If Porzingis were more ready for a larger role, a starting line-up of Lopez, KP, Melo, Afflalo, and Grant is actually very exciting, very balanced too. Unfortunately, you would be asking KP to be the 3rd option on offense, and get 14-15 ppg with probably 6-7 rpg, and obviously don't think he will be ready for that yet. Maybe a year from now.
Any news on how the Deandre Jordan sit down went?

How big of a loser are you? That's not even close to being a good lineup. Look at the rosters of some of the other teams in the league.
Just get Bass and Koufus two practical players who could come here.

He said he was just trying to get free lunch.
CA had to take a REAL discount
At this point of their careers, CA is the weakest player on the bunch who is who he is, NOT A DEFENDER/NOT A LEADER/NOT A FRANCHISE TALENT
And if he doesn't take a discount, why should the rest if he already made his already...
CA (oldest and made by far those money)
LA
Jordan
Monroe

im still convinced resigning melo was a dolan move. Just like when dolan overruled donnie walsh and gave denver anything they wanted. Phil asked melo many times to take a discount

Dude relax. It's purely based on the upside of KP and Grant. It's more-less hypothetical, because they aren't ready for major roles yet. I have highlighted where i state that for your arrogance. You should get a few more posts under your belt here before you start throwing around insults.

People are under estimating grant's leadership he's a natural born leader "steal of the draft " this kid very well could be our starting pg for 15 years ... That's why this Beverly interest seems like hot air ... Also why Monroe choose mlk instead of nyc because Phil said we are going to use you at center
Get kanter
Get biyombo
Get another 2 maybe shved
Kanter,biyombo
KP,Harris!
Melo,early,Greek
