Knicks · Robert Upshaw and Branden Ashley to LA Lakers (page 1)

If you hear of any other UDFAs just post them here.
CrushAlot @ 6/26/2015 10:28 PM
I started another thread for this this morning but it is three pages back already.
I read that Upshaw had heart issues in addition to character issues. Does anyone know about his heart issues?

honestly with the holes on our roster, our lack of picks, we should be a top destination for undrafted talent - a bit miffed that we haven't gotten any similar commitments from undrafted players.

I think Phil is gonna look at Euro FA's with experience. I suspect a couple of UDFA's will be brought in tho.

I was a little disappointed about that third pick. Im overjoyed about rd 1---really I think it was a savvy play and to get the 35 pick was beyond my personal expectations. I mean one helluva job getting 19 and 35. I wouldve taken Andersen and Powell at those picks because I believe we couldve changed our defensive perimeter for the next 10 years and added two powerhouse athletes at 230 and 215 that wouldve taken so much pressure off of our team. Jerian Grant is solid the Eurpean C Im not sure about--but if my true feelings are put out there I think we couldve taken this team to a level with Porzingis Andersen and Powell that I believe wouldve been a march to the top. This path were ok we do have Shvyed to play PG but I think we blew a bigger opportunity. jhmho.

Disagree about Grant. Great, great pick. Perfect for this team. Probably the best pg this team has had since Strickland. I would think Clyde will love this kid. Kinda reminds me of Frazier. We shall see.

No I'm a grant fan very solid pick. I am very high on those two players I might have a slightly different view of the nba right now. Having two what I would call elite defensive power athletes with diversified offensive skill sets would've been my avenue

Maurice N'dour to play for Knicks Summer League team:

http://www.hustlebelt.com/mac-basketball...

Looks like he picked the Knicks over some other interested teams as they have no problem with him playing abroad for a year (guys just don't make enough money in the DL) -- that bit of info. makes me think he might be a keeper right off the bat, not your typical SL/training camp fodder. If we sign him, unclear whether he'll take up an official roster spot or not. My guess is no but not sure...Wasn't familiar with him but after looking at his numbers and some tape, I like what I see --

6'9" 210 SF/PF put up some eye-catching numbers last year for Ohio University: 34.9 mins per, 16.0 ppg, 48.4% FGs, 43.5% from 3, 78.5% FTs, 8.3 rpg, 2.3 blks, 1.1 stls.

Think he played the 4 in college but he looks like a 3 all the way in the NBA. Looks real competitive, agile and skilled. He can shoot, drive the ball, post up and block shots:

Between Daniel Hackett (assuming he'll be on our SL team as well) and now N'dour, I think we may have come up with two players that can help us eventually, maybe even this year. They each look like they could contribute in the NBA right now. Excited to see these guys in Vegas.

Woods signed a partially guaranteed deal with Houston. We have our twig already I'm totally ok with losing out on him.
Finestrg @ 6/27/2015 7:25 AM
Michael Frazier will be on GS Warriors' SL team.

Wow from all the guys I look at how do I miss this guy? And how is he not on a top 100 draft list. He looks like a 1st rd draft pick the way the game is played. Ohio wasn't very Good but how many 6-9 fluid athletes can you find that shoot 44% from 3rebounds blocks shots runs the floor a willing passed. The Knicks are being run the best that I have seen in 20 years.I give Jackson a lot of credit were in good hands for the first time in a long time. A little extra he started off the season very hot then cooled almost looks like they modified his style of play mid season.

Nice pick up. I read your post and then went to draftnet to read about him. He is from Senegal and speaks 5 languages. He went to high school in Japan on scholarship for three years. Sounds like he is a really smart, high character kid. This was a really nice signing. I am going to see if he played at Portsmouth.
CrushAlot @ 6/27/2015 10:00 AM
^^^^Draftexpress has his measurements from the Portsmouth tournament. He has a 7'4 wingspan and a 9'1 standing reach. Also, love that the Knicks are establishing relationships with guys and supporting them. I think that goes a long way. Philly has done that with Pierre Jackson.

Googled him and the Knicks came up right away. From his Wiki,
According to reports, the Knicks have been watching him for over 3 years, and Knicks' president visited Šiauliai during the 2012-13 season to meet with Galdikas and watch him play, however, Galdikas was injured at the time[3]). In August 2013, the New York Knicks again showed interest in Galdikas, describing him as a 'diamond in the rough' and the 'third best Lithuanian center after Jonas Valančiūnas and Donatas Motiejūnas.[4]

During the 2014-2015 season he was scoring 11.2 points (74% FG), grabbing 10 rebounds and blocking 2.6 shots, while representing Asseco Gdynia club in Poland. Following it, he decided to participate in NBA Summer League to seek his dream of representing NBA club.[5] He will represent New York Knicks in the summer league.[6]

Hes a long springy athlete. He looks like the guy the Spurs drafted at 26 Multinov. Very long and athletic. Boy were going to have length at the rim in SL that will make the Kentucky team look small.
