Interesting.

It means Ndour will get another chance to show NBA scouts and personnel what he can do, and then still be free to sign a more lucrative contract abroad if he’s unable to garner enough interest for a training camp stint.

The Knicks, unless they offer him a contract, will have no rights to Ndour once the Summer League season has ended.

At Ohio, Ndour shined as a multi-talented big who could stretch the floor with 3-point shooting and defend well at the rim. Ndour averaged 14.9 points over two seasons with the Bobcats and earned Second Team All-MAC honors in 2014-15. He’s a projected small forward in the NBA, but must develop his ball-handling, passing and perimeter defending skills to hope for an opportunity in the Association.

“I know what I have to do,” Ndour said in March. “Now I just have to do it.”

He can sign with anyone just like most D-League players.
