We all know pt guard is the hardest cause you are responsible for running the play but what is the hardest? I ask this question cause I was watching h.s. summer league basketball and it seems to be all get the rebound and go, look for a seem to the basket and make the shot or hoped to get the foul called.
All the players should learn all the skills of the game but it is painful to watch big guys bring the ball up, little guys not knowing to fill the lanes etc.
SG or SF. Have to go with SG because SF have to guard smaller faster players and bigger physical players.
In order from easiest to hardest
1. SG
2. SF
3. PF - have to guard bruisers and stretch 4's
4. C - takes the longest time to develop
5. PG - Quaterback, most cerebral position, involved in every play on both ends
You are right. Wing players don't know where to be and fill lanes. If all goes well the Knicks will be an exception under Phil/Fish
I have always considered power forward the easiest to play. Rebounding is more about desire than skill compared to the other positions.

I disagree with that. With rebounding, you need positioning, boxing out (a skill on it's own), timing and anticipation. Those things combined very much make it a huge skill, especially if you aren't tall and/or you don't have much of a vertical leap. Desire is fun to say but in order to make it translate, you need to use those other assets I mentioned.

I don't disagree that those are skills for rebounding, I just think positioning and boxing out out are easier skills to master than the skills of dribbling or hitting a consistent jump shot.
