Yup- he likely goes to the Lakers, Jordan to the Mavs, leaving us empty handed- maybe Robin Lopez- weep!

And Jordan goes to Dallas. It's Knicks, lakers or Portland

huh?

Deandre goes to Dallas or hopefully LA Tonight the. That leaves The Knicks, Portland lakers or Mavs to land Monroe

Where's his black book when you need it

at least CA isn't scaring away FA's like Kobe Bryant and we are NOT done yet, so lets see how it plays out...

Sounds bad but if you say offense vs defense, there is some hope...

Why? They are the best team in the east with the best playet in the league and give him the best chance to win...

We never pursued Love or TT, so why the panic?

because Love seemed miserable there.

as i have been saying for months, carmelo anthony is not enough of a draw for any free agent worth his salt to come here and play for three years. it's career suicide unless money means as much to them as it clearly does to carmelo. in which case the "culture change" we all want will be stifled.

the better free agents are going to be looking for lucrative situations with top 6-8 teams. the knicks are simply too far away from actual relevance for free agents who want to win anything to consider.

this is why the knicks should focus on the future virtually to the exclusion of pursuing a title with carmelo anthony as the centerpiece.

to that end, maybe all parties involved will see the light soon and we can get anthony to accept a trade where we can acquire younger players and draft picks.

carmelo anthiny would be a great 6th man on a contending team, a matchup nightmare and a rotational disturbance.

I remember, when Marbury saw the light - let's not do that again please. Melo is here and he can't be moved. We will suck for the next 4 years, might as well focus on building the team with young two way players instead of killing ourselves with grief of having him on it.

Someone please do the math on the cavs salaries. They are spending mad money....even with the new cap in two years.

they committed $240 million without Lebron resigning yet. I think that I read that their cap number was about 110 million!

I think the TAX penalty is after being 3years in a row of being above the tax apron, and NOT right away

I could be wrong though....

Lebron has leverage on Cleveland, sign them, or watch me walk like he did in 2010
It isn't personal, just business, he will make sure his buddies gets payed, he knows that Iman Shumpert is one of the better DEFENDERS in the league, while some here still think he is D league talents, and MANY MORE even took stabs at him when he was a Knick, not many here believed in him, it just shows us, that many here evaluate talent based on NUMBERS, some with advanced STATS, however, the NBA game is a team sport that numbers can indeed lie

that's almost 20 years of suckage and irrelevance.
