Seems like the logical move here is to offer Green what he wants, and when the Warriors match trade our exception and filler for Dlee and a couple of picks

mreinman @ 7/1/2015 4:50 PM
Green aint comin here ... this guy is winning player CMON
nyballer @ 7/1/2015 4:51 PM
Of course he isn't... But that forces the Warriors' hand since he's restricted, and we can use our exception to get a draft pick or two
crzymdups @ 7/1/2015 4:52 PM
The Warriors will just match any offer sheet he signs.

He's already won. Money comes first at this point in his career.

so you don't think that he will get paid? He is getting the max ... don't worry about him

Yea younger than Carroll. If we don't get these guys is offer him the max and force warriors to match. Trade Melo

of course that is our best option (and maybe our only one)

Melo's value definitely went up a lot today with all the ridiculous contracts.

Vmart @ 7/1/2015 4:59 PM
I wouldn't even monitor this. Offer and match.

That's what I said. When they do, try to trade them Calderon + our trade exception for lee and a pick or two. We shed some future salary and pick up some draft picks. Having to match a higher contract will add urgency to their desire to shed some salary.

I think they can waive D Lee and stretch his contract 3 years X 5 per. No way they take on Calderon.

Think they would try to move Bogut instead especially if we do a 3 way team for Clippers
This is probably their best chance in moving Bogut after winning a ring and Bogut having a career year and isn't that expensive with questions of his health after his best year this season

While promoting Festiz Ezili and the BIG EURO center, with Speights/Lee *kept as an expiring till the trade deadline*

I doubt they would trade David Lee for anything more than 2 future 1st rounders, possibly ONLY 1, think they would rather buy him out at a discount, allowing him to talk to other teams first to see how much they would sign him for to negatiate a buy out

Oh, I know he's getting paid. I'm just saying...he was aking second round money for the past few year and he's already got a ring. I'm guessing he's at a point where in his life where he wants to get paid. Golden State will probably match, but they shouldn't take anything for granted.

GSW better not ruin a contender chemistry here but if they do, I do not mind.

Hope Phil is working the phones on this one, even if it is a long shot.
Vmart @ 7/1/2015 10:55 PM
