As much as I hate isiah I will admit that he knows how to evaluate talent and recruit. On nbatv he just demonstrated how he'd recruit a free agent. You can tell he knows how the game is played and what the players are looking for.
Well he had his shot. And failed with flying colors.

He ruined us and we're still feeling some of the crap he did today. Can he find talent?? Yes but he can also run a team into the ground like he did with us. Good news for you Isaiah lovers is he'll be taking over for Phil in 2/3 years to try again.

Yeah. Those were the days. Glory days for the Knicks indeed. Well fondly remember them forever and tell our kids about those legendary Isaiah led squads. Thinking back to the likes of Malik Rose, Starbury, Steve Francis aging in dog years, Curry (NOT Stephen), Jerome 'Big Snacks' James, etc etc. I could go on and on. Truly amazing work by Thomas as GM. They'll be a statue of him outside Msg one day for sure.

Isiah Thomas was one of the worst GMs the league had ever seen for the Knicks. Who exactly did he recruit here???? His money spent on Marbury Curry Jerome Jmes Ill stop there.
overall he was just said the cliche things: "players like to be taken out, wined and dine, they've been coddled since HS". nothing spectacular but you can tell he has been on both sides of the table, he has experience and he could give good advice.
All those who liked the Maurice Taylor trade, MAN UP!
And let's not forget trading for:
a broken Penny Hardaway on a MAX contract,
a decrepit Jalen Rose on a MAX contract,
a broken Steve Francis on a MAX contract,
signing Jared Jeffries to a FULL MLE (deserved a vet's min contract),
etc. etc.
The Knicks had like 4-5 of the worst contracts in the league at the same time.
Let us not forget.

i would never have him run my team. im just saying he has some "charm"?? is that the correct word? the way he was demonstrating his pitch i can see how it would be enticing to play for him. im not sure if im articulating myself properly.
i hate isiah for embarrassing my franchise. i dont want him near the knicks. im just acknowledging his "appeal"
