To all the tank supporters

I hate to say i told you, but it was more important to show success then land a 4th round pick who is essentially 3 yrs from impact.

Have any lottery team landed a big FA yet..

LOL--you think the Knicks didnt try to win?

TPercy @ 7/2/2015 1:20 PM
Our lineup was
Galloway
THJR
Thomas
Amundson
Smith

Not one quality NBA starter in that lineup and 80% of those plays a reserve/D League players.

The Tyson trade and then Melo injury killed our chances.

Tanking is fine. There's no specific blueprint in building a winner. There are different ways. THe problem is we are going to tank next year without a pick so we can't even rebuild this thing by tanking. Only the Knicks. Never seize to amaze me
franco12 @ 7/2/2015 1:37 PM
actually this free agent period shows the value of draft picks and having talent under contract that you can control.

We haven't even seen KP play a single game. Also Phil got Jerian and Willy in that draft. It was well worth it IMO. For those worried about not having a 2016 pick, Willy is that pick. If he can get a pick along the way that only adds to the haul Phil has been bringing in. We will get a nice look at a lot of the prospects this summer. Phil has done a very nice job restocking the cupboard with young talent given how few picks he had starting out.

djsunyc @ 7/2/2015 1:39 PM
yes...come on knicks...you can tank again this season

It was average - just .049 below .500. If you're around .500 you're by definition average.
I'm sure a top FA sees a near .500 team and thinks he can bring it up to .600, which means top 3 in the east.
When they look at a .207 team, they probably want to puke.

I know i would, losing on the big stage is a lot harder then losing in some small market no one really cares about

Please don't forget the capitulation and party habits of JR Smith, the fog that surrounded Shumpert, the ineffectiveness of Amar'e and Calderone, and the low output of Jason Smith. Let us leave no stone unturned.

We did not tank. We didn't have enough to win. If tanking was our objective, there was no way in HELL that we would have won those two games near the end of the season.

winning those final 2 games isnt something to be proud of. By doing so we missed out Towns. I had no problem tanking simply because its time for the knicks to use the draft to help build a good team. For 15 years we threw away first round picks and got worse. Golden state got good by drafting and then adding pieces. The bucks are now getting there by drafting and now adding monroe

The real problem with tanking is we dont have a pick in this draft, if we did I would be all for losing again, and I would care less what happened in FA. Now we will be awful and have no hope at all
