Fantastic. Lob city is coming! :-)
If Phil signs DeAndre, I will take back everything bad I said about him. I will dance down 7th ave and do a rain dance in front of Madison Square Garden. I will buy stock in Cablevision and hand it out to strangers.
But at the end of the day, I think he's going back to the Clippers.
Terrific. Jordan was my top choice. Still Think its a longshot but godammit its time we get some luck for a change
agent said it went well. I'm sure the message went right to the Clippers management. Makes LA offer more money. Tired of everyone using us in order to get more from their true destination. At least I hope this is the case. Max for a guy that can't hit a jump shot nor post up? No thanks.

here is the thing we have no pick next year. We need to at least try and stay out of the lottery or even the top 10. I agree jordan doesnt make us a playoff contender but at least him a healthy melo and a few pieces allows us to stay out of the bottom feeders like we were last year
He's not coming here, lol. He has so many other better options.

Today max is just tomorrows decent contract.
We have cap money to spend so why not on good player.
Why max for no-defense Monroe is good but max for no jump-shot DJ is no-good?
If he wants to be an all-star then he needs to go east. Are there any other east teams courting him?

Orlando could offer him a MAX contract and still keep Tobias Harris's qualifying offer

I think we are better sell than orlando
There are some players that simply can not play in New York
Then there are players that are questionable to play in New York
DJ is a player that plays DEFENSE and will get the garden ROARING with the dunks, hustle, effort, he plays with on TOP of being able to mentor KP as he is only 26
Add in a players like Wesley Johnson/Biyombo, maybe Thabeet to play next to them and learn of him, and we have a strong defensive team
With Grant/Galloway Thanasis/Affalo in addition to the the development of KP (playing the high post now but interchangeable as he develops) and his mentor, Jordan, and the above
Cole Aldrich is the link the the FULL MLE with his low cap hold
DJ would have career highs in REBOUNDS and BLOCKS, possibly STEALS, ASSIST, PTS, in New York and DPOY candidate if we can be over 50%, surely at least first team ALL DEFENSE
Would prefer him at about 17.5m STARTING with raises but would give him whatever he wants...
He's going to clips or mavs but it's nice that phil was engaged.

Are you sure?
Vucevic,Harris,Oladipo….hmmmmmm…magic are closer to winning than knicks
I'm not believing anything until i here he signed, if he didn't give them a verbal agreement, he ain't coming.
ONE ADVANTAGE DJ has in New York, we are willing to pay aging athletes over their prime, his agent should know that, as he can get another 2 maybe 3 contracts out of us, just as long as he plans his OPT outs correctly...
In 1 to 2 seasons, there will be another 7footer + that would dominate the DEFENSE with him, as well as PULL the opponents PF away for him to go 1v1 on his man as he continues to develop his POST GAME
NY would love him and his game, probably more than LA where all they care about is showtime.
Defense and effort.
But, no way he is signing here.

Make it river dance and you've got a deal!
