What a pass by Russell. Clarkson couldn't finish.
So far Mudiay has been somewhat wild and his shot has been a little off but not bad.
The lakers have the back-court of the decade sitting there with Clarkson and Russell.
Upshaw is huge. Just real quick--no way Towns can handle Upshaw in the post and you can see it.
Tyus Jones is about to have a tough time in the NBA.

I cant express how good both Joseph Young and Myles Turner were when watching every top tier player. Tyus Jones is 50 levels below Joseph Young. I said there would be multiple nBA all stars coming from rd 2 of this draft and 2 of the best guards I have seen have been Young and Powell. The bar Young set will be hard to reach in SL. I dont see how it doesnt translate to the NBA hes so quick.
Larry nance is not a 1st round NBA draft pick.

Agreed. Guys like Young and Harvey have decent translatable skills. I've asked many times how in the world Tyus Jones is going first round. he has supbar athlecism, not quick, can't be relied on to score. Just a decent passer imo.
Mudiay has all around skills. He can really rebound good passer moves tempo and good on D. His shot is wild but Im sure he can work on that.
Lavine look like he imrproved his outside shooting.

Boy I will say Towns has only been fair? I dont like how he is setting up on offense. he hasnt been bad--but I expected better.

He has been decent. His offense has looked decent. his passing has been excellent, has had his moments in the post. I love how if he dosen't see an open player cutting or wide open, he can use his very quick step to get his shot off. His defense has had his ups and downs, looks a little bit slow on some plays.

Minny doesn't have the best track record lately with drafting pgs.

Youre right he hasnt been quick on the D and has fouled a LOT. These guys are all MILES behind Myles Turner's all around game--I mean NOT even close. Turner was the only real shotblocker I have seen. then you add in he had the best-looking offensive game for a post so far and he rebounded very well. Towns did have some good passes but his lack of D has been kind of obvious.
Briggs,
Why is it that a guy like Turner fell to where he did? How come he was ever discussed as a top 10 pick or higher really? If you were a GM picking between 5 and 10, do you think any of them regret their pick already?
I hope the Knicks dont play KP like Minny played Towns. Towns is NOT close to being s stretch anything NOR should he be. One thing with Towns hes a little small for C and hes not ready to be a mobile 4. He really needs to concentrate on high mid range to post from the 4 position.

I made this post before the draft. I think teams get "locked in" on guys in the lottery. remember in all fairness anyone who watched Turner during the year not only saw a guy who was inconsistent but he looked physically awkward like he could be hurt.
Go back and read--he only worked out for teams 7-14.
When i saw his pre draft workout I was in shock. I was like this guy needs to be reevaluated by the Knicks. He had the best -looking pre draft workout of anyone. He was powerful athletic and had what looked like an incredible jumpshot. His game is so far above Towns in maturity-- its not close.
Towns needs some time to figure out the nba game, the speed of the game, when and where to pick his spots. The guy barely had to do anything playing for kentucky. Need at least 30 games in the nba to get a better feel.
