Towns needs some time to figure out the nba game, the speed of the game, when and where to pick his spots. The guy barely had to do anything playing for kentucky. Need at least 30 games in the nba to get a better feel.

He played a little better towards the end of the game. I think he would be smart to give up the 3 ball. He made some very nice passes out of the post and at the end of the game started making progress in the post.

He was a little wild shooting but overall his game on both sides wasnt bad at all. I can see his avenue to be really good.

Turner has been beast. Nothing wrong with Towns and the 3 as long as he can shoot it well.
I guess the question is why was so inconsistent in college? All of a sudden he put it all together? How do we know for sure that the way he looks in summer league is the same he will look during the season against seasoned veteren big guys that actually know what they are doing. Not saying he wont because I haven't seen him play much.

Aggressive..He is pressing it..Looks like he is still quick..He needs some floor time to polish his game..But he will be an interior bruiser..Think Zebo with muscles and a quick step and not afraid to put his chest in your face..He doesn't have Zebo's touch from the outside yet..
The thing that bothered me with Towns in college is that he didn't have presence..He didn't make you pay attention to where he was on the court especially the offensive end..He gets lost at points in the game..he got lost in this first game..
I'll say this, OK4 had presence in his first game..The other games he wore down..OK4 needs to get in shape..OK4 will be a beast it they draw up some shemes where he catches the ball..

He didnt set up well at times. Hes much better in the post. I would bring his perimeter game along slowly. he didnt rebound well but he was a great passer which I should include. Overall Kaminsky Okafor WCS and Towns have been about even give or take--obviously Towns only played 1 game.
I enjoyed watching the Lakers and Minny game. Nice to see some efficient basketball for a change rather than watching the D League bums brick terrible shots. Randle looked nice. He has defintely put on some weight, but he hasn't lost a shred of quickness.
Lavine and Clarkson looked great and were definitely playing at the NBA level. They both might be too advanced for summer league to benefit them. Russell though played great. He could be a sg but he has PG handle. I think he could of had 10 assist if he and his teams mates had more time to practice and get each other's timing down.

OK4 has had the best game so far..OK4 was good his first game..Think he was 20/10..He fell off the next two..His second game was a back to back..He wore down in the second half and was shot in his third game on one day rest..But from his substitution pattern, you can see they are trying to get him in shape..
But OK4 has been best so far..Still early tho..

OK4 was light years behind Turner
Christian Wood has played a much more disciplined game than Towns. I guess the science to this is subjective but no way should Wood have been passed on 60 times.
Wow Warriors showing the best cohesion and skill between their big men Mcadoo and Kuzmic. GS has serious reinforcements there.

I didn't see Turner..But I was talking about the top 3 potential first picks..OK4 will be a 20 pt per night scorer..Turner won't..Think Turner was 10/6 his college career..OK4 was taking contested fade away jumpers inside the top of the key a la Patrick Ewing..This kid is 19 with his offensive repertoire..I think people outthink themselves on this one..OK4 was tops all year until the videos...His fitness will be the difference and whether or not Philly will play a style that suits his game..

KP could turn out to be better than Towns or Russell? He was rated pretty high b4 the draft. We shall see how he looks against faster and stronger players with refs that dont call holding or hand checks.
ill give more details tomorrow when i see the team live. im just so tired from the 8he plane ride. lol. i got off the plane and headed straight for the game.
whats cool about the summer league is u can interact with coaches. i had a chance to meet coach tyrone lue. i asked him about the triangle...he said that EVERYONE runs certain principals of it. it was ahead of its time and still relevant. but he was saying how hes a teacher AND a coach. teaching them them HOW to hydrate is just as important as X&Os
