The cap space is gone. The money is spent.
Uncle Phil is changing the culture towards shared responsibility. Skill set wise, we are a blue collar roster of lesser known under-the-radar types with something to prove. This batch of unpredictable individuals are taking their talents to Seventh Avenue with hopes of making it on Broadway.
We have no stars and smaller egos. Summer League should be a blast.
Can Jerian Grant lead them?
Now is when Phil's job starts. 5 roster spots. 1 room exception. Mostly vet min contracts or DLeague contracts. Not sure how the s&t affects the cap, if at all. Might let us go over by the exception amounts.
But now is time to find more diamonds in the rough.

I think Grant can lead this team. He was a leader at Dematha, leader at Notre Dame and I think he wil be a leader for the Knicks. He just gets how the game is played.

very excited to see jerian grant play. Besides winslow he is the steal Of the draft
Everyone was excited when the news came across about drafting Jerian. It really gets glossed over by the media but we got TWO 1st rd picks and they both have great upside. Jerian is even more ready to have a big role. He was born for this opportunity. I'm pulling for the kid to have a great rookie year.
Very satisfied with the moves so far. Change of culture. Professional players.
This team will be a solid TEAM. They will be good enough to attract 2 Big Fa's next year.
I am sure not all the moves will pan out but there is only UP from where NY is now.
The personality of this team is going to be COMPLETELY different next year. So many new players. RoLo and O'Queens really changes the toughness. We already have some upgrades in skills. This is a very good start to bring this team back to respectability. I don't think teams will be expecting to walk over the Knicks next year. There will be much stiffer resistance. That in and of itself is a huge improvement.

Now we have a ready made team for a big FA or 2 to come in and put us over the top. We just need to prove that we are a playoff team.

Just need to get rid of Melo. Based on the past he will hurt their growth and their confidence. Instead of being supportive he will sulk when they succeed. If they get cheered by the crowd he will stop playing. I am willing to see how it plays out but if we see any recurrence of his earlier behavior like he did with Lin and Tyson, I will be pi##€)
Turner is going to be an nba superstar

Can't fault the Knicks for not drafting. He had the most red flags. Boom or bust. So far Boom but we will see

Hopefully we'll be saying the same thing about Porzingis!

are we blue collar, or the players we got merely those we could actually get? I mean, yea, I like the potential of our front court, but did we not get skilled players because we couldn't, and we had to overpay for marginal talent no one else wanted?
Outside of maybe Lopez, did we get any FA that any other team wanted?
there's nothing not to like about Jerian Turner. Over/Under on when the first "we can't trade the yoot" thread appears.
When's the Kyle O'Quinn "Coming Home" party?
Our first rounder KP needs a better nic. Please submit your suggestions now. Unless I already missed that thread. Then don't.
Derrick Williams - a Worm-type, PJax reclamation project? A man can dream, can't he?
Anyone hear any sounds from Cole Aldrich?

No one questioned Turner's skill the issues was his long term health due to how he runs.

Yeah, for a big dude....If you're not balanced when running, you will develop some issues in one or many of the critical knee, ankle or hip areas. But getting stronger and hitting the weight room should help. He definitely plays both ends.
