In the nba, I suspect the Knicks will corral his game and try to simplify it, especially early on.
That was the case. I read to the coaching let him roam wild on the westside to compensate for Guillermo's lack of shotblocking.
Im pleased and relieved to read all the positive takes from fellow NYK fans from this video. I was cursing after watching this that we should have taken Super Mario who is skilled and athletic and seemingly prepared to contribute from day one. Kris appears to be a gangly project to me, all arms and legs with poor hands. Effort is there but he appears uncoordinated and clumsy at times with poor timing on shot blocking, lobs and boards. Think at 7'3' he should be a shot blocking force but did not see the advertised 38" vertical nor quick jumps. Doesnt appear to have the quickness of feet to defend perimeter plays. Maybe its just his defensive stance, isnt low or wide enough but also doesnt open hips so players get by him. Shows he can recover and that his length can affect from behind. His shot looks good and he showed glimpses of being able to post for turnarounds. Nowitski? Do see Kris at 4 eventually given his feet on D but he'd have to rebound like Kirk did . I think he's a project this year, a work in progress that is going to need a lot of personal attention to smooth out his rawness. If there was a draft redo, Id still take him over everyone that went behind us except Mario and maybe Myles Turner

They must have missed Okafor in summer league play. Zing is not the most talented offensive player in this draft; but he does have potential to be very good if he can get stronger.
