Maybe we needed to beat other offers he had?? There was talk that 3 other teams were interested in him which one was the Spurs.

Why should did we consider doing that?

You felt the need to put out two such responses and not combine your overreaction into a single post? Somewhat of an immature response, IMO.
When he was playing regularly I thought he did fine.
End of the bench guy...solid citizen, and a guy who seemed to do well in the Triangle. He plays good D and actually showed a shot a times.
Does make some strange plays every now and then, but...he actually surprised me at times. Maybe he looked better to me because I wasn't expecting much, but he and Amundson earned a return ticket based on the kind of play and effort they gave the team last year.
He is also the type of guy who will go hard in practice, I expect, and he'll be a good influence on younger players.
Yeah i remember Fisher saying Lance and Lou made a huge change in the locker room once they got there and he loved having them and Scotty Brooks hated it when OKC traded Lance to us. He said he was a guy that gave his all in every practice and everyone loved having him around. Sounds like someone i'd want on my team.

The Knicks still have the Room Exception which might be acceptable to Shved. Who knows what his thinking is at this time. I haven't heard anything clear about his plans.

Phil has a large staff of nba professionals.....vs.....a bunch of snotty nose..beer belly..coach potato knick fans.
Coach potato? You are funny.
This was a bad move. There clearly were options better than him out there. What does Lance Thomas bring that warrants that?
We should hurry up and text Phil Jackson and let him know that someone on a message board thinks he's making moves that aren't any good. LOL
So Phil Jackson is immune to making bad moves? You think everything that Phil Jackson has done up to this point has been perfect? Wow.
So you're one of those people i guess. Can you show me where i said anything like that at all and after you don't show me will you do your best to never say i said something i never said??

You don't think he'd take the 2.8 million room exception if we offered it??

You are implying that. You mocked me saying "We should hurry up and text Phil Jackson to let someone on a message board thinks hes making moves that aren't any good" and you agreed with blex who said that he has a staff of professionals and that I was a presumed coach potato. That gives me the impression that Phil is immune to critism.

Yeah we have the room exception and somewhere between 2 and 3 million in cap space.
We have 1.4 million if cap after that Thomas deal.
Aweaome! We signed the seventh best player from last year!! Phil is really attracting
Quality players because of his reputation. Players just dont want any part of this.
I don't mind this signing but I would have picked up Lou first.
so some guys on this board say "I like that move" and sometimes "I don't like that move"
some guys just like every move no matter what ....
who lacks objectivity in this situation?
CrushAlot wrote:I don't mind this signing but I would have picked up Lou first.
agreed, amundson showed a bit more. I just dont get this signing

I'm saying energy guys are not that rare. We should be be trying to outpay anyone for Lance Thomas.
