Estimates that the team could save 15 mil this year and 16 mil next year. This guy seems to be the most informed.
https://twitter.com/MazzESPN I will post a couple of his tweets but more information is available if you go to his twitter.
maybe they can give us DWil and 2 number ones for Calderon?

We wouldn't be able to fit that under the cap. A trade like that only works if we have cap room.
And no way - his decline reminds me of Steve Francis's. I don't want to catch him on the decline.

I was just preempting the calderon trade proposals
Can't link to a twit longer article but Aldridge said if the nets stretch Williams contract now they can do it over 5 years. Next year they can only stretch his deal for 3 years.
I think he had like one good game last year.
I'd love him for the vet min, but not any more than that.
He used to be one of my favorite players, can't believe how much he's fallen
Sucks for Brooklyn who gave up 2 firsts and Derrick Favors for him, but probably best to move on.
Also, they traded the pick that became Damien Lillard to get Wallace so DWill would stay.

At least when we traded the picks that became Aldridge and Noah, we screwed ourselves over for a guy that didn't work out.
Brooklyn screwed themselves over for a guy that didn't work out just for the right to overpay another guy who didn't work out. That's got to be on another level, right?

Don't forget when they went all-in to win with DWill and traded three first rounders to Boston for a cardboard cutout of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce.
Or when they traded more first rounders for Joe Johnson (he was actually solid for them, at least)

We can tie the THJ/Grant trade directly to the Brooklyn/Atlanta pick swap from the JJ trade. Thanks BK!
If this happens he probably goes to Houston/Dallas
please russian rich guy-- get williams out of brooklyn.
the savings are too huge for the Nets to pass up.
