But I think he could be great here.

agreed. he looks like a superior player to everyone i saw yesterday who is vying for a spot on the knicks roster. better than cleanthony early too!

Given Jax preferred tempo, he would fit but I think he is part of Spurs future plans and we have nothing to offer the Spurs for him anyway.

I thought every team wanted Calderon, our most favorite trade piece!

I really like Andersen I'd trade the 2018 pick lotto restricted for him. I don't know if he'll have a role in da anytime soon but I think he could play pg here

Yeah, but it was the first game he looked good this summer. He's looked outclassed athletically in every other game.

Not a great athlete but is 6-9 230. I like how he plays and think he would be an awesome piece here. Hes an excellent rebounder lengthy defdner a great passer and if he continues to develops his outside shot could be an all star one day. His IQ is very high I mean I thought he was a lottery pick last year who just feel off the charts. If we were lucky enough to have a pick past 15 in 2018 I cant believe it would be superior to a developed Kyle Andersen.

Really?? I think the kid has some serious skills and i can't see Pop not seeing it if fans can see it. I'd love for us to get him though.

Wow you'd seriously give up our 2018 1st for him?? That's a tough call there without knowing where we'd be drafting in that draft. Hopefully we'll be a contending team by then and which would mean we'd be picking at the end of the 1st round but a lot of that will depend on how we do next year and if we can lure big name free agents to us.

jersey city native!!!

but yeah he does everything in matrix slow motion.

The kid that caught my eye was Simmons..Didn't shoot well but good defense and very athletic..Once he streaked down the lane and dunked over everyone...Heard he was just signed on Friday..

Trading for Kyle Anderson would cost a future asset, likely a draft asset. Since the Knicks don't have a 2nd rounder until the Rapture basically, I don't see how that helps the Knicks. Also Anderson will be walking into the Triangle, which the Spurs don't run, so he'd be essentially eating a developmental year here. By the time you might see results, or not, it could be the middle of his fourth year, meaning the Knicks got no real stretch out of the benefit of a young player playing on his rookie deal.

For him to get playing time, who gets the squeeze out of the rotation?

Cost too much, difficult fit, complications with long term upside. I like him as a NBA fan, but the risk heavy ends the reward potential here.

Where could he play? The question is where couldn't he play I think he can play 1-4even 5 small ball. So you think it would take Kyle Andersen 2 years to pick up the triangle. How about 2 workouts. Outside of melo he would be the most talented player on the team with kp

Just to make it clear even tho teams don't openly talk about it some teams use the Triangle. The Spurs in particular have used the Triangle for years within their offense. It's often goes by so quick that people don't perceive that they use it.
