Seem to be leaving out Calderon and you forgot that Hernangomez is playing with Barcelona this year.

I think O'Quinn will play more minutes, and Amundson less. Also see KP starting at about 20MPG.

Can't really do this until you get a good look at how things are going during training camp. You'll have a better idea of how KP and Grant stack up against more experienced competition.

You're taking for granted that Shved is going to be with the team. That the Nets swooped in and picked up Bargnani let me know that they are not beneath robbing the nest. Can't understand why the foot dragging. You also left out Ledo, a good offensive option off the bench. Here's hoping that he makes the cut too. He's head and shoulders above Thanasis.

The only reason for the foot dragging with Shved has to be that they're waiting on another player or players to see if they'll accept the room exception that they prefer over Shved. That's the only thing i can think of and if those players don't take it then maybe they'll offer it to Shved. I would really like to see Ledo get a lot more playing time in some summer league games to see if he has progressed at all. I know he made a comment that he's been working hard to get better and i know it's hard to tell what a player can be in the NBA off of what they do in summer league but i'd still like to see him show more in these games.

Have to wonder if the Knicks could move Thanasis's rights to the Bucks for a future second round pick or something. Not sure how the team does right by him after he committed to play in Westchester but he doesn't appear to be talented enough for a roster spot at this point.

not a fan of calderon-- he's a sieve-- i'd rather give him the heave-ho and have shved on the team... and had no idea that hernandogomez was not available, my bad on that. o'quinn now gets 20 minutes or so.

now that shved is out there will be more minutes for galloway, anywhere from 28-32 minutes. maybe a few more minutes for o'quinn to keep kp's minutes down, at lest for the initial part of the season.

CrushAlot @ 7/26/2015 11:59 PM
I think Calderon gets 26-28 minutes a game at the start of the season and starts. I think Grant gets 18-22 minutes to start.

OK svhyed signed in russia-- willy g is playing for real Madrid the odds of grant starting are low as is kp Travis wear won't be a knick I think the Knicks have bigger plans for Oquinn than 16 minutes and Williams more than 12 right? He's making 3x what admundson and Thomas are making. You don't have a back up pg in that group. My guess is that either Williams or Oquinn start pf. Kp needs to develop even if he's 245 off the bench for a year

Schved is just as bad on D as Calderon. OK, maybe not that bad, but close.

well it's out of the question that he play more than 32 minutes, if we are to follow the san antonio model. to see the average number of minutes their players play is eye-opening indeed.

that said, his game is entirely suited to coming off the bench as a great sixth man. i would like to see that just to see how it screws up opponents' substitution patterns.

I agree with Melo's minutes, but I would reduce Porzingis down to a max of 20mins- don't want to push him too far, too fast

nixluva @ 7/27/2015 3:33 PM
O'Quinn will most likely get more than 16 mins. He's a more efficient player and will be more productive than some others we have, so I can see him deserving more minutes.

The big question is what we will get from KP and Jerian. If those 2 can adjust to the NBA level and have some decent production, then it should be a good year. Those 2 are the X Factors IMO. They don't have to be World Beaters, but if they can be solid contributors it will help a lot to round out the top of rotation.

I agree with dk7th starting lineup:

grant 28 minutes
afflalo 32 minutes
melo 32 minutes
kris 24 minutes
lopez 32 minutes

I think KP will be in better shape by the time we're playing regular season games. He was not in prime NBA shape in SL. He's got a few months to build up his nutrition, conditioning and strength.

knicks1248 @ 7/27/2015 4:57 PM
what i would like to see is fisher not play guys random minutes, and stick to a rotation of 9 maybe 10 guys unless foul trouble or injuries.
