Best Knick PG since Jackson/Strickland. We may finally have a true PG! Finally!!! Can't wait until the moment he and KP start together

VDesai @ 7/14/2015 12:12 AM
Knicks actually acquired Kirk w/ Amundson and Thomas last year in the JR/Shump trade. I don't know why they waived him as he can play!

Smarter player, better vision.

Been a lonnnng time since the Knicks had a PG with PG vision that's for sure

Phil really loves his big guards and Jerian has all the tools you want and the mental toughness you hope for. Now we can see Phil's vision a lot more clearly than we could when he had a bunch of players that weren't really his kind of guys. Now he has a team full of guys that fit his vision of the kind of players he wants. It's extending to the Summer League team and hopefully the D League as well. He clearly wants to have a farm system where he can develop more of his kind of players.

That is freakin classic. I was so happy that we trashed the Lakers and their obnoxious fans. There are a billion Lakers fans in Vegas. They really were expecting their team to trash the Knicks and we ruined their little party.

I wish I could have watched our young ones play, too bad where I'm at the game starts at one thirty in the morning. I watched grants highlughts and he showed me and everyone why he can be a fantastic player in a few years. Clsrkson and Russel didn't score much, was that because of his defense??

Porzingis shows some great footwork in his highlights which was great to see, however as nix and a few others pointed out they still struggled on getting Kp the ball and it looks like Gallo was at fault.

Ndour seems to have y'all over. 8 points on ten shots doesn't look like something I would be excited about but he rebounded very well and blocked a bunch of shots. I take it that his defense looked better than the last time right?

Early didn't seem to impress y'all. He had 13 points on 13 shots which is I dictating that he had trouble finishing? Yes? He rebounded very well though 9 boards and 3 assists.

Galloway didn't look that great did he? Shame.

It's been said a few times- the reason Ndour agreed to play on our summer league team was because we were okay with his plans to play in europe this season.

He's a little out of shape- remember they shut him down after the hip injury- only started practicing again a day or two before summer league.

I'm not gonna drink the kool aid on Krispy just yet. I have a funny feeling he might not live up hype some are giving him. I'm gonna keep a keen eye and try not to be passive on his flaws because I'm starting to notice them little by little

I wonder if he meant he doesn’t want to go the Galloway route but would be okay if he was the 15th man who plays mostly DL but gets the occasional call up?

IF the knicks do not sign him now anyone can grab him later. If they like him they might need to lock him down before he gets away.

You would have to have a verbal, or gentleman's, agreement and hope that Ndour has more honor than D. Jordan.

And Steve Kerr, who did pretty much the same thing but got praised as being smart for doing it.

This is why I wouldn't do it especially if I could lock him into a 3yr deal w/team option. If he hits as a rotation player he becomes a value player as a Cap goes boom.

It's highly unlikely but what if the knicks could get 4 starter/rotation players on rookie contracts.

I think D.Jordan will force GMs to lock up players. NDour is an impact player that changes the game with his defense and energy. Hes not meassured by points....hes measured by steals....blocks...defense....and a momentum changer with his energy. Stats dont work for him and maybe that helps us to keep him hidden. Hes Balkman on steriods. A farried type....If we let him go he will get picked up by somebody else this season. We need that athleticism for defensive mis matches.....like taking Wear out and plugging Ndour in..... game changing lineup switch. He neutralized Randall who was planning on having a big day. Gallo....Grant...N'dour. ...and KPs defense is the reason we were up 19-4

Kirk actually saved Fisher from loosing this game...along with Grant.

anrst @ 7/14/2015 8:32 AM
how was fischer gonna lose us the game? just curious?

by not playing KP enough and not making sure KP was featured on offense? Isn't he on a minutes limit b/c of the hip?

I mean what, those plans couldn't change? What if he played well and we had the roster room to keep him? He's looked good so far. Thanasis is playing a step below (I don't think he's looked terrible though) but what if he really showed improvement as well? I personally think we should've held off on the LT/Amundson signings for now and maintained a little more roster flexibility for the time being for guys like these. Why rush to sign these two? LT and Lou would've been there in the end and if not, if someone came along and offered them something they couldn't refuse, no problem--they're each fully replaceable anyway. You wanna talk about good locker room guys, good practice players, whatever -- they're both non-essential players on this team.

I hope it's true and we have a gentleman's agreement with Ndour but if this guy continues to play well for us in SL and then overseas somewhere and some NBA team comes calling with an offer, how does he refuse that to maybe get a spot with the Knicks next year? What if someone offers him a spot right now, before SL's over? Would've been nice to have the roster flexibility to keep him.

I think they could have 4 rotation players on rookie deals. You have to figure they already have three guys on rookie deals in the rotation with Grant, Kris, and Galloway. Early, N'Dour, and possibly even Kirk could crack the rotation either thru play or an injury.

Might not be necessary in the summer league but it will be a different story with the big boys.

The guy is 7-3 he should play 12 feet and in. You ever see Kareem taking 3 s?

His game is way different then Kareem's game. The kid has a sweet shot and will be shooting 3's.

Zingis is not a big......hes a 7'3 wing player with an outside jumper and a soft touch around the rim.....

Porzingis is a 7-3 skill 5-4 who will fill out nicely. He's not quick enough to be a wing nor would u want him to be. I'm not arguing about it because it's an inane thought process. Yes let's make our 7-3 small by playing him 26 feet from the basket come on now
Yeah cause bringing the other teams 4/5 away from the basket is just dumb right?? Come on now Briggs, nobody is saying to play him on the perimeter the whole game but the kid has a outside shot and there's definitely plenty of positives with him playing away from the basket sometimes. He's not M.Gasol or D.Jordan or D.Howard and never will be. He's a PF right now and probably will be for a while except when the other team is playing a small lineup and he needs to be using his outside shot along with using his post game. You don't find players like him very often at all.
