Things I am excited for this season:
1) Choosing between Zinger and Krispy as a nickname for the rookie of the year.
2) Watching O'Quinn enforce like a a badass minister. I have visions of Samuel L Jackson in a clergy outfit raining down hurt on people. That's only cuz the videos I seen of him off the court make him look like a saint...but we know better...
3) Grant is going to average 8+ assists on his per 36 stats. I love him already like his name is Charlie Ward.
4) Melo's injury was a farce. He's gonna be back with a vengeance. No drama, all game. I see it come. So has it been written....
5) RoLo is going to get a better nickname. This whole JLo Rolo craps has to go. Eh, I don't care, just seat some shots. And think of a better less candy sounding nickname.
6) Afflalo will finally get his AARP card. I kid I kid. At 29, seems like an ancient signing. If he shoots 40 from 3 and plays above average D, we might get the 5th seed.
7) Derrick. Derrick. Derrick. You cannot get the last four years back. But you can still earn the next 10. Luckily, triangle won't swallow tweeners alive. I am thinking Most Improved Player is a suitable goal.
8) I daydream that Calderon only looked so bad cause he was helping us tank. Ah, to sleep and dream some more.
9) That room exception is going to be there in February when some other team cuts a core vet player... Who will it be?
10) 2016 Cap Space!
the nicknames for kristaps porzingis: krispy? zinger? lazy and unimaginative and a bit disrespectful. they've got to go. knick fans can do better. even KP works better.
robin lopez = rolo = sounding like lamont sanford's friend... this is more like it.

Agree. Enough with the lazy nicknames. Now, The Mayor, THAT was a nickname to trust and smile about. Let's at least wait until the regular season before attaching hooks to people.

Im most excited for our 2 rookies. Its rare that the knicks have even 1 draft pick but we got 2 guys who were rated top 15 or so. If both KP and grant have solid rookie years then things will get interesting at MSG

This is what I like most and really Phil had a plan to build a new core and the media and some fans still don't get it. Phil gave us a future and that's the exciting part of this. The media is all twisted up about Melo and not getting big names and they are totally missing that Phil is rebuilding a younger team around KP and Jerian. I think it's great!
