Roster coming out of Summer League should be:
1: Calderon, Grant
2: Afflalo, Galloway
3: Melo, Early, Thomas
4: Porzingis, Williams, Amundson
5: RLopez, O'Quinn, N'Dour
That's 13, if they cut Ledo and sign N'Dour. I wouldn't mind Wear, but looking at the big men corps, it's getting a little crowded in there. I don't get the Alex Kirk love, frankly. I only caught half the LAL game so far, but he did not impress last night.
I think they need a SG and a PG for the last two spots.
I wouldn't mind that D-League guy... Elliot? Also, Scottie Wilbekin looked decent last night.
I sort of think that looking at the roster they might not give up on Ledo yet, but I have not seen anything from Ledo that makes me think he will "get it" any time soon.
Also, major props to Early for improving some things. He looks like he should be Melo's backup right now, as opposed to looking like a pile of hot mess. Maybe the injuries were holding him back?

1. Whos thomas?
2. wilbekin had a nice game, but it was just that....1 game
3. Everyone here wants wear out, he did nothing last year and still looks pretty insignificant on the court
Cut Ledo to sign Wear??? Now thats crazy! Ledo is really a rookie at this point. He has shown some flashes. I want to keep Ledo and see how he develops this year. Ndour is not a center. Need another backup center.

1) Lance Thomas
2) Yeah, I just don't know who the other options are for guards at this point. Who is out there at PG? We need a third PG, I think, with Calderon being 34. Shved just signed in Russia.
3) Wear is okay. I think we have a lot of guys at his position though with Melo, Williams, Thomas, Early, Amundson. Wear couldn't minutes in front of Thomas and Amundson last season, why would he get them this season?

I see Ndour being able to play an undersized center role like Kurt Thomas did.
For third string, I'm fine with that.
I'd rather add another guard and have Ndour be the third string center.
I'm okay keeping Ledo, but if we sign Ndour we only have one spot left at that point.
Ledo has a contract for next season if he is not cut and he doesn't deserve to be frsnkly. He has this thing......talent.

I still think we need a third PG.

I like what I've seen from Early, but don't jump the gun- he also looked good in d league last season. His problem has always been the deer-in-the headlights demeanour he gets in NBA games, thats whats holding him back. Hopefully this summer league gives him a confidence boost.
Ledo's got a $200k partial and I do believe they like him as a prospect. If you can play your way onto the team than N'Dour has done that. So to update:
1: Calderon, Grant
2: Afflalo, Galloway, Ledo
3: Melo, Early, Thomas
4: Porzingis, Williams, Amundson
5: RLopez, O'Quinn, N'Dour
Which leaves one spot...
Why did we sign thomas? Waste of a spot

What's done is done. This thread is about the guard we need, not the Lance we already signed. I like that signing as a team building thing. He is insurance at SF if Early isn't up to it and a good practice and team player. Listens to the coach. Fisher needs that. Totally fine signing Lance. For everyone complaining about JR - Lance is the anti-JR.

I don't think we really need another guard unless there are injuries during the season. Afflalo, Grant, Galloway, Calderon, and Ledo gives you 5 versatile players for 2 positions. As long as no more than 1 of them are injured at a time we should be ok. We do need a 3rd center. After that, should just keep a spot open and use it on a guard only if needed.

Thomas was a sure thing reserve and they had no way of knowing a kid like NDour would take to this like a fish in water. I'm sure they liked him or they wouldn't have invited him to be on the SL team. Still it was a bird in the hand kind of thing I think with Thomas. It still doesn't preclude them from bringing in NDour if they really like him.

Because he is an energy guy who can play in the triangle. Apparently those are rare.
I would take a big man too, preferably a heady veteran. David West would have been nice but whatever. At the end of the day, Lopez is a role player and KP is going to have a lot of foul trouble games. A reliable big man vet would be nice.

That's valid.
Elton Brand is still out there. Though he's apparently deciding between retirement and playing again.
No Wear. Need a big and a guard preferably a pg. Ledo got talent but he still cant get it together in SL so he's not an absolute. Wish that kid E. Williams had been displaying on our SL team, mix of experience and some talent. Giving Thomas a raise was money better spent keeping Aldrich. Unless Ndour can be stashed with rights, then consider adding because he's a worthwhile wild card. My 13 players with position designs. as of today. Enuff flexibilty at 2. 3. 4, shallow at 1 and 5
Calderon 1/2, Grant1/2
Affalo 2, Galloway 2
Williams 3/4, Thomas 3, Early 3
Melo 4/3, Proingis 3/4/5, Ndour 4/3
Lopez 5, Quinn 5/4, Amundson 4/5

Fock him. Didnt select us last time we pusued , no need to give him a job when we are staffed at 4/3

Agree with pretty much all this - except KP playing the 3. Don't think he should ever do that. And I think KP and Melo will eventually start together.
