I look at KP and he is just so young. I haven't watched much of Russell, but he's probably going through the same issue.

No - I like players with tenacity on defense

Please beware; it ain't how you start that matters, it is rather how you finish. Russel is currently overthinking the game, he will adjust as the year progresses

Biggest Disappointment:

DAngelo Russell, LA Lakers: No one should be writing a player off during Summer League and that is not what we are doing here. It just has been a rather disappointing start for a player that many deemed to have star potential out of the gate. Russell is not fully to blame, as their seems to be no team that has had worse positioning offensively in Vegas than the Lakers, with Russell being a lone player finding decent spots on the floor. He also had a few drives and passes that were quite impressive. The end result was still, unfortunately, a game where he finished with single digits (8 points on 3-11 FG/0-5 3PT) in 34 minutes. It has been a lot more difficult for him to create his shot, and while he did finish with 5 assists, he needs to get to know his personnel better. That should come with time, it just did not come as quickly as some had hoped.

In his defense, Stephen Curry did really crappy in the (first) summer league. We all know how that turned out. (Though Stephen is a much better athlete and has incredible ball control.)
An interesting thing about Russell, is that he was able to get his shot off quickly, in part, because he releases it on the way up. (And he has a super quick release.) Those two things
allowed him to always get his shot off. But now he is around super athletes everywhere. This might get ugly for him if he can't adjust.

Gotta call you out on this.

He looks like a 12-year-old dominating everyone around him. Bascially, nothing has changed.

Curry was pretty awesome from the get-go. Forced himself into the NBA starting lineup with the similarly undersized Monta Ellis once the season began. The only thing that has slowed him down were the recurring ankle sprains... until he had it surgically repaired.

I really remember (maybe it was a stretch) where he was shooting horrendous. But I accept your call out and stand corrected then.
