Knicks · To Carmelo-----I stand corrected (page 2)

The number 7 is actually an upside down L; which also represents his jersey number

I kept saying to myself, why should it matter when only 3 or 4 guys actual make the team, or are already on the team, it's horrible basketball to watch, and you'll see these guys in 6 to 8 wks, and from all accords, he plans on working out with KP in august.

It doesn't and didn't matter but i can kinda see why some people were complaining about melo not showing up to a game just to let it be known that he came to a game but people took it waayyyy too far as like it would matter in the long run which it won't but a Melo showing would of been nice. I myself didn;t care at all that he didn't show up.

Knicks1969 wrote:As per the last interview with Porzingis, Carmelo did text him right after he was drafted.

Carmelo Anthony reached out to me after I got drafted. He said, "Congrats, welcome to the team." I didn't have his number, so I texted back, "Who's this?" And then a few minutes later, he said, "This is Melo" with his No. 7 as the "l." I met him actually when I came for my Knicks' tryout for the first time. We've talked a couple of times since then.

If that is true, I apologize to Carmelo for criticizing some of his leadership mishaps

What else is he going to say?

He's going to say what the franchise wants, what his agent tells him to say and what the Knicks marketing/PR people say.

It's all damage control. Notice the same trend over and over.

Melo says and/or does something stupid and anti-team, then there is someone else later forced to do damage control for him.

Look at poor Jeremy Lin in an interview, clearly uncomfortable, during Linsanity, when the interviewer keeps asking "Well Melo pushd for you to play right? Right?" And Lin had to think about how he could angle it in his mind so it wasn't a lie and that this was some CAA softball session to make Melo look more heroic. (If you want to be a hero some night Melo, try playing some defense )

BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT IS EARNED.

Melo has been around too many stupid things said and done against team interests to have earned said benefit of the doubt.

classic... word is Melo doesn't immediately welcome the new pick, and its 2 weeks of anti-Melo no leadership wank-a-thon threads. But when its found out that indeed the guy did immediately reach out its "what else is he going to say?"

Don't you guys get tired of this? This is what your a hoops fan for? To obsess about Carmelo Anthony's leadership? I guess in this Kardashian era I shouldn't be too surprised.

Apparently Kristaps is a liar. I can't wait until he becomes a fully fledged con man.

obviously KP is nothing more than a paid CAA minion whos only agenda is build the Melo brand. How can you not see this?!?!?! Did you read MElo's shirt the other day? It said SUSTAIN. If that doesn't tell you he's at odds with Phil and is planning a locker room coup then you must be blind!

Sigh... I blame the KArdashians.

This part is hilarious to me for some reason. Did Me7o not get the m3mo that putting numbers in your name was lame in 1995?

If #StayMe7o works out with Porzingis and other teammates in August, I will have more respect for him.

I don't know...the parentheses are not a bad look for a C, IMO.

You have other options for a lowercase c, though...
