Hands down one of my favorite PG's to watch playing. Really hated seeing him get carted of the court during the 2012 playoffs. Hes trying to make a comeback, would love to give hima training camp invite, would be great for Grant to pick his brain and learn.
B. Diddy was unstoppable a few yrs back, and dont forget the originator of lob city when blake griffin came into the league

B. Davis was done even before he got hurt in 2012. I would pass. I wish him well, but there are better alternatives available at PG.

As part of the 40 club, we always have something to offer. I would bet any amount of money that he's not the worst NBA player right now. So why not make a come back? Why not play for the knicks? The only reason not to play with us is the jinx factor. Assuming he gets injured again in a knick uniform, the medical staff will be in hot water. And people would be in his ear saying, you got hurt before playing with the knicks....haven't you learned?
With that said, I wish him the best. One of the best show time PGs I watched.
Baron Davis is done. If he wants to join the Knicks on a vet min just to mentor Grant, then it might be worth a flyer, assuming we can spare the roster spot. But play PG for the Knicks? That is some crazy ish.
Yeah come on.. Last time we saw him his knee looked like a sack of doorknobs
I'll never forget seeing him play at the Rucker when they did a City tournament there. He stole the ball 3 times straight in the back court and jumped to the moon on three straight two handed sledgehammer dunks. He was incredible
Love this guy doing interviews. Very interesting guy who in his day was as good if not better than Wade. His take on Donald Sterling is interesting.
If healthy he would have a spot on any team I owned!!!

Welcome back Spree.....I probably missed some of your recent post, but this is actually the first time I saw you post since those long email debates with another poster, who I don't even remember anymore or care to.
I was surprised at how funny he was in that Joe Dirt clip!
I figured he'd give it another go. Good luck to him.

people forget how sick and athlete he was. He also didnt take care of himself. At all. Not too late.. he's been rested. If he can get slim he can still be a good player
Just say NO to washed up vets.

I'm B. Diddy and I run this ciddy, send the cops, the DEA, the Feds (maybe a stretcher) to come get me!
Compare
The Baron vs Calderone
Comparisons
Both downside of career
Baron older than Jose
,,but both equal in race to next injury
Think they call it the IL.
Baron will give it old college try and
Get back on court. Jose C., will take his
Time, visit spain. NYC health centers
And get to IL quicker.
Baron will get on court less than 100%
Score few points and shutdown again.
Calderone won't get on court til 100%
And score 0, but may have an assist or so
More than Baron, Jose is younger should be
Able to out assist BDavis, will never see
Calderone with rep., he came here as.
Shooting?
Baron will take less shots to miss
Jose will take more shots to miss
Baron will go and try to fire up team,
With penetrating drives to basket but end
Up on floor.
Calderone won't drive to basket like he
Once could, and Jose won't fire up any
Young knick.
When you are Jose Calderone and can't fire
Up ex raptor teammate Andrea Bargnani, we
Are in trouble.
At least Knickerbockers had one of 2 depart
In Bargnani..
All in all summary Baron won't be here but
Older broken Baron Davis is better than shot
Calderone whom talks excellent post game gab
But yet to prove to DJ he really really cares
To be in New York knick land, as a leader.
Leadership.less
He got his contract and that is all its
About for Jose at this stage of career.
An opinion
awful player - ultimate selfishness
