This stinks. Wish they'd signed him.
smackeddog @ 7/23/2015 3:43 PM
Dallas could and did offer more guaranteed money
NYKBocker @ 7/23/2015 3:44 PM
Happy for NDour. He deserves it.

The DeAndre Jordan debacle just keeps on giving.

enter 80 page thread on Phil's ineptitude, somehow Melo will share fault in this also.

Oh well... nice story. Will be interesting to see if he gets any burn

There goes my favorite knick for 2015/16. These agents are doing their job. Hope he gets some playing time. He will miss the opportunity and media coverage in NY. Just ask Jeremy lin.

Fucking sucks...WTF did they offer him? Gimme the Goddamn number...If it was more than the 2.8mm room exception, we gotta live with it, nothing we could've done. If it was less than that, F Phil, yet another mistake imo.

Silver lining -- there's room for Thanasis now. I like him too. Looked at a ton of video before. Get TA in here now. Very similar to Ndour anyway.

Oh yeah the haters can't wait to start the blame game threads. LOL
ChuckBuck @ 7/23/2015 3:49 PM
Dangit!

He'd be a nice luxury to have, just an energizer bunny out there. Glad to hear he's landed on his feet in Dallas though.

I'm betting they see him as a good replacement for Al-Farouq Aminu who they signed to a similar just over the minimum deal last off-season, played great for them and then got a $30M deal from Portland.

NDour kinda reminds me of Aminu - a little bigger, but similar games.

Note no other team had someone step in and overpay their summer league find - we always seem to get screwed once an offseason (Lin, Cope) . It's not the end of the world but I'm annoyed.

If only Melo had come to visit him!

yup... too busy building his brand to actually care about the team. It adds up.

I betcha we sat on our hands with this kid. Instead of going after him aggressively, I bet we hemmed and hawed up the ass and WTF happened--someone else came in and took him. If we came with a fair offer RIGHT AWAY (during the SL season or before), we could've had him. We waited, hemmed and hawed, and lost him.

You can't know that. He probably generated a ton of interest in Summer League and got a lot of calls.

Knicks wanted him - it sounds like Dallas had more cap room to go over the minimum for him.

He would've been perfect. PERFECT. Out of him, Early and Thanasis--Nodur looked like the best of the 3. If we had secured him, we would've had good flexibility to trade Early, Thanasis, Laberyie, etc..

nice... you can see the progression of Knick fan logic in this.

1) I bet we... (make negative assumption with no info)
2) Offer insightful tip on what should have happened (with no info) and where we failed
3) repeat step 1
4) repeat step 2
5) start assigning blame based on feelings + fabricated reality

Looking at Dallas roster he can get playing time. On the NY roster we have a few more guys that might be tough for him to leapfrog for playing time. Can this be as simple as a young player looking the best situation for playing time?

NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
