Knicks · Netsdaily Article: Bargs, "I would have played for free"... (page 1)

This is the quote from Bargs:
"I would have done it for free because the money at this time does not matter," said Bargnani who's made $72 millin in his NBA career ... and who's made some profitable investments in Italy. After two years with the Knicks --and what he has called "crazy bad luck" -- Bargnani said he wanted to start over ... in New York. He said he wants to forget the injuries that limited him to 71 games in two years.

"I just hope I can have a decent playing time, scoring as many points and exceed goals," he told interviewer Malcom Pagani . "I do not think I was lucky (last year). Luck is good health that allows you to prove your talent at the right time. The rest is the work. I made risky choices, indeed extremely risky and I intend to continue to take risks. I accept all the criticism, it is living in a beautiful dream, I know myself. "

Bargnani added that he still enjoys the game and will play it as long as he does.

He can say whatever he wants to say now. But this does not help our team right now. Noted with thanks Bargs.

Can I assume that there are things in the CBA that would not allow this kind of situation to exist between a player and his team?

So easy to say this AFTER you have all that sweet cash in the bank. Screw
bargs be bmk

"I just hope I can have a decent playing time, scoring as many points and exceed goals,"

As suspected, no interest in rebounding

I was hoping for his return as I do think he is a good triangle guy but if his presence slowed KP development then its pointless.
With a history of injury its better we go forward with healthier guys. If he has a great year his value will increase and I don't think a longer term deal for him would make sense for the knicks.

I Hope he does well. NY basketball is more interesting with two strong teams!

GetThePipe @ 8/4/2015 12:15 PM
and the Knicks would've got what they paid for.
StarksEwing1 @ 8/4/2015 2:43 PM
Hey if he could somehow get that first round pick back that we gave away then id welcome him back with open arms
jrodmc @ 8/4/2015 3:23 PM
Letting Bargs play for free would still be a net loss. See what I did there?

He would have had to.

I'd have held out for a better deal than that from him.

That is the spirt Bargs, go to our cross town rivals after milking us and not playing due to injuries!

wow, very touchy about our little slice of Brooklyn, aren't we? Don't fret, I'm sure your Russian's going to make billions on the sale.

Cartman718 @ 8/5/2015 3:04 PM
can we get a 2.8 million exception that we can use on another player if he really wanted to play for us? i remember when he was traded to the knicks and i thought he could be good next to melo....how wrong i was.

You don't really add any content to a conversation do you, its kind of like your adding your own narrative and keep the pot stirred.
But since you asked, my take I was surprised Bargs wanted to stay in in NY, for the Vets minimum and still Phil wanted him out.

You response touched a nerve, otherwise why retort with a Prokhorov remark. Basically, I love the guy. Its a Russian Donald Trump never went bankrupt or inherited his wealth. He made I the old fashioned way, he commited great crime. Dolan is a spoiled brat. He should fear the Russian. Not the nets, for his life!!!

Dude is like some James Bond villain. Dolan is a sitcom character.
