In Melo SF / PF Afflalo SG Lopez Center Calderon PG Grant PG Porzingus PF Vujacic SG Seraphin Center Thomas SF
Interesting lineup rotation.....Looks like there's at least two players per position. NOT BAD
Melo will have the most minutes, so he accounts for two positions (SF/PF)

I could see Seraphin starting at PF and then moving to C when KP rotates in. O'Quin could also get minutes at C when we go small with Williams at PF
CrushAlot@ 8/6/2015 12:56 PM
Vujacic, Early, Thanasis, Thomas, and Lou are out. Lou and Thomas could easily be in the rotation though. They maybe getting more than the vet minimum to be good practice/locker room guys.

Why is Calderon playing over Galloway???
Rookie@ 8/6/2015 1:00 PM
I think we will also see the genesis of our D-League affiliate where Early and Thanasis will shuttle back and forth to get playing time and work with a new development coach and his assistants

Because Calderon isn't injured yet Galloway is also a tweener who isn't very good at either guard position, more of an insurance policy at this point.

He is far better then Calderon. He defends, rebounds, and scores the ball. Three things Calderon did not do last year
EnySpree@ 8/6/2015 1:15 PM
Guys will have to bring it in training camp. Lou and Thomas are limited but they are going to bring it....Fisher seems like he will let that sort itself out. I don't think the guys playing will be playing just because. The talent is very similar and marginally better one way or the other....
Every personality has a similar work ethic so instead of complaining and sulking, I think there will be chemistry. Guys will play for each other. I believe that with this group. I believe we're going to be proud of this group

Gallo is a better player in a vacuum but his role as a guard is different than Jose. Gallo isn't as good a passer, decision maker, PnR PG or shooter. Even in a down year Jose was still a better overall shooter and I would guess the hope is that Jose is healthy this year, at least at the start of the season and if he is then he's an even better shooter and his ability to move should be improved.
I like Gallo and his toughness, defense and athletic ability. He still needs to improve his playmaking ability as a PG.

He's also buried on the depth chart behind Afflalo, Vujacic, Calderon and Grant. Calderon is still the incumbent starter until he proves otherwise. He is also an injury waiting to happen. Grant is a 1st rd pick who is 4 yr college man and NBA ready. We are invested in him and he needs minutes to develop. Afflalo is a prototypical SG and the best one we have had here in a long time. He will add consistentcy at the 2G we have been lacking. I questioned the signing of Vujacic until I watched an interview from 2012 with highlights of him in team practice. He is constant motion and his cuts are sharp and decisive. His passing is craft and on target. Galloway is odd man out but will see playing time when the inevitable injuries happen. He has shown in the past that he stays ready, so he has a role on this team.

This is a pretty good topic but pointless
Fisher will play all 15 players most nights before the 1st quarter ends..he will then rotate the starting line until February, shuffling guys in and out, base on their hometown, family members attending the game.
I have zero faith in fisher until proven otherwise, especially when it comes to the rotation, its so bad its truly comical.

Thats definitely his weakness.....It's something that stood out during the season and we saw it in SL. But I understand why in SL.....I don't understand his substitutions during the last playoff game of SL, when you are clearly trying to win.
Lets hope he's a fast learner, because his substitution patterns has cost us plenty of games and potential injuries with inconsistent minutes. Now he has a team where 14 or 15 deserve or want major minutes.....
mreinman@ 8/6/2015 2:24 PM
Melo KP Afflalo J Grant ROLO
why?
Cause our plan is to TANK AGAIN! Wooooo hhoooooooo!
Oh crap! we can't use that excuse this year.
never mind.

Don't know if you know this but it's kinda hard to do those things when you're injured. Just sayin.

you think they paid DWILL 5 mill per to sit on the bench, he may actually be the only fwd we have that will penetrate
9 man rotation PG/SG-Calderon SF-Williams PF/C-O'Quinn SG - Vujacic
10-12 Bench PF/C - Seraphin PF - Admunson SF - Lance Thomas
13-15 Inactive Thanassis Galloway Early
I see Galloway and Early getting on the active roster depending on situation. I also see Early and Thanassis being sent to the D-League once in awhile to get some burn.

Exactly. Caledrons is miles ahead of Galloway and will always be that way in terms of the pg position.
