Knicks · Sounds like the Knicks had a shot at Aldridge (page 2)
They were saying they wanted me to be more of a center to let their guy develop and I just wasn’t looking to be that,” Aldridge said. “So I was looking to play power forward, and they weren’t really interested…
“Melo and I talked a little bit over text and we have mutual friends that passed messages along. I was interested,” Aldridge said. “I talked to other guys to see if they were interested in going there too. I was interested but when they say they want me to play a position that I don’t want to play, I get it.”

Pure Melo... No excuses now... All alone again with a bunch of garbage. This hurts...

sorry but jackson is here to serve the best interests of the knicks medium and long term not carmelo anthiny short term.
pretty obvious that jackson sees no chance of winning a title in new york with carmelo.
i see what he sees and jacskon's actions speak louder than words. the draft of porzingis confirmed jackson's overarching vision just as it sealed melo's fate. kudos to clarence gaines jr. for letting jackson know that porzingis is a "once in a lifetime opportunity."
carmelo got his fu money it's up to him to show some character for once. he wants to be a digital superstar and a mogul in retirement then god bless him. can't blame aldridge for not wanting to come to new york in a rebuild. better to hitch his wagon to a proven winner now and learn how to play basketball the right way under duncan and popovich's mentoring.
everybody wins except holfresh ha ha ha

not melo that's for sure. he has his fu money as well as a female with fake tatas and an artificial onion, and best of all a class act like stephen a smith in his corner.

None of you care about winning..You care about personalities..Getting players on the team that you "like"...You were the most miserable when the Knicks were winning...Didn't like the coach..You were most miserable during the 54 win season...We have a guy who wanted to come here that could possibly make us a 50 win team and we balked at the chance...Clowns...You think KD might want to take a look at a team of Aldrige and Melo??...Doesn't matter..Let's chug to 30 wins...Knicks, Met and Jets..What a joke...

Popovich must be a tool for recruiting Aldridge..
the conversation likely took place between aldridge and pop and duncan.
"i want to win"
"yes we know you want to win, and so do we. we can teach you how to play the right way... but your game needs tightening up."
"yes i know it does. i am looking forward to the challenge."
"we don't have anyone play more than 30 minutes a game so your personal numbers will drop and meanwhile you will have to give much more effort on defense and box out more. this is how you win."
"i agree. where do i sign?"

If he wants to win he should stay clear of the team the Phil is running...30 wins where we come...

yes thirty wins is about right. i think 31-34 is realistic. why is this a problem for you? melo has his money. stephen a smith was right about one thing at least: melo loves his money. and your belief is that because he is unimaginably wealthy he has already won. so what's the problem?

I'm about winning..Not the nonsense you try to direct the conversation to...Winning..Notice, I'm happy when we are winning..I hate losing...You are the complete opposite...

He said he was recruiting players to come to NY..

That certainly sounds like something I would say..But what was the context, you calling him a loser??..Stupid BS that you are accustomed to doing..Trying to take the conversation in another direction as usual..Losers tolerate losing..Melo and Adridge with the right supporting cast make us contenders in the East..Just plain stupid..
But we are going after Durant and that makes sense right..

your like nazi propaganda minister josef goebbels: repeat a lie enough times and it will be considered by truth. i watched that season carefully. if you can show me a post during that season where i said that i wasn't watching i'd be happy to eat my words.
if not then might i suggest you shut your fvckink piehole?
