Knicks · Shocking News! Rose Already Hurt! (page 1)

SwishAndDish13 @ 9/29/2015 7:04 PM
Apparently broke his orbital bone today. This guy is amazing. Guy is made of glass! Talk about something you don't see too often in basketball. Say what you will about Melo, the contract, etc, but if you think he was intrigued to have another Amare situation on his hands, you're kidding yourself.
MaTT4281 @ 9/29/2015 7:11 PM
Just saw that. First reaction, this has to be a joke.
He was just talking about securing his next contract at media day...
CrushAlot @ 9/29/2015 7:17 PM
Wow. They were killing him on sports radio today for his comments about getting his next contract.
SwishAndDish13 @ 9/29/2015 7:19 PM
Lol! I just read about the comments but I assume the injury is legit aince the NBA app sent the alert.

mreinman @ 9/29/2015 8:31 PM
why is this shocking?
Swishfm3 @ 9/29/2015 11:16 PM
Love watching Rose play (when he is able too) but teams are taking a huge risk if they give this guy a max long team deal
blkexec @ 9/30/2015 12:36 AM
Athletic PG's or small guards that uses their athleticism 100% of the time, will usually stay on the injury list. There are rare occations, but it's clear when you think of Stockton and Mark Jackson....These guys played until they were 40 without any major injuries, and was still able to be a top notch PG in the NBA, without elite athleticism. Rose uses his explosiveness on every possession, so he's going to stay injured. This latest injury was just a freak of nature, but was it? Did it occur on one of his classic power hop step move, in traffic? I hope he has a speedy recovery and learns how to play injury free, while continuing to make his teammates better.

Yup.

You go up high and hard...you're going to have to come down, too, and lots of things can throw off your balance while you are in the air.

Me...I always felt under control and protected by my sub 10 inch vertical and inability to drive to the basket against anyone over 5'10."

Sounds like Shumpert got hurt on a lob pass...perhaps he was trying to do an alley oop dunk. Another guy with who can jump out of a gym who also gets hurt a lot.

Cartman718 @ 9/30/2015 7:58 AM
did you hear about the woman suing him for gang-r..e? apparently she wouldn't have a 3 to 4some with him and his friends. i wouldn't be surprised if the media ran with that too.

This guy is an embarrassment. He’s wildly talented and always loved watching him play, but he’s too stupid for his own good. He deserves to get drilled in the media. There is nothing wrong with worrying about your health, but when you’ve literally barely on the court and you say you have tunnel vision and you’re worrying about free agency in two years so your son is taken care of long term and you can get the money that’s going around the league and you’re day is coming?

You have a shoe deal for $185MM and a contract worth $90MM and are one of the highest paid athletes in the world.

Would never go near this kid.

It's not. It was sarcasm.

Absolutely. Talking about stealing tens of millions more from a team in two years after you have been MIA for most of your career is flat out insane. Rose got outplayed by Dellavedova in one of the biggest games of his career, when he was healthy. Rose should play in China next, maybe they will stage a play about him too.

athleticism at the backcourt positions in basketball is a two-edged sword. you can get away without developing actual skills. rose was never a convincing floor general/orchestrator. he comes across as an undersized shooting guard, and he isn't a real good shooter as it is anyway. conclusion: he was able to dominate pre-nba competition without incident but when you play against bigger, stronger, quicker guys and don't adapt by developing skills for your size, there will be underachievement. your post is accurate but your last line is false... he didn't make others better, kind of marbury-esque.

I don' have a problem with what he said, but he should not say it. Dude can put up great numbers for two years then he'll have all the money he wants.
Athletes are greedy. So is everybody. He got hurt playing the game, not on a motorcycle or in a bar fight.

This guy has some bad aura about him. I don't know about his rape case if it has any merit to it. Fans don't want to hear about his money. Fans want to root for his success and winning!!!!!!
