The strangest site was Russell spending most of the first half standing in a corner waiting for the ball, wasnt even bringing the ball up. No one was passing the ball to him, looked like he was being frozen out there. Dont believe they are going to get as much out of him from the 2. The kid needs the ball in his hands to do damage. Its just one game, and I only watched a little bit, and while he put up good numbers, Randle looked like a bit of a black hole out there at times. Was passing up open teammates for tough shots. Have to watch him more, but it will be interesting to see what the dynamic between Randle, Russell, amd Kobe will be.
Definitely strange...Russell seems neutered in that backcourt.
The Kobe mystique and gravitas is one thing, but they have a 6 guard team (I'm counting Kobe as a guard-sorry), and 3 of them love to shoot the ball.
58 shots from the other guards on the Lakers last night 67, all together...all of 9 assists from guards:
Kobe- 8/24 1 assistClarkson 5/12 3 assists
Young 5/8 0 assist
Williams 6/14 1 assist
Russell 2/7 2 assists
Huertas 1/2 2 assists

I was thinking the same thing, this looks awfully familiar. Walt is right, Russell did look neutered out there. Scott wont last long if he keeps using Russell this way. Scott should let Russell run the second unit, at least he will touch the ball more.

I have no idea why they have Scott as coach to begin with. Kobe will be Kobe and wanted to "Prove" he is still Kobe. When Kobe is ready to pass the torch, Kobe will make it look like it was Kobe's idea.
Kobe will be injured soon enough.
Anyone else seeing how fat boy Felton looks real skinny today?

still looks fat and stupid
So far, preseason and, what, three games in . . . GSW has some new/refined defensive strategies and Felton, as bad as he is, is playing slightly better defense than Melo . . . that's all I got.
Giannis is balling against Was
KD 15-30 for 43 pts..Westbrook 17-36 48pts....OKC 139-OLA 136
Pistons beat the Bulls..beat ATL too..
Did anyone watch the Sixers game? I checked in at halftime but did not see any of the game. When I checked the score on yahoo the game chat was very negative in regards to the Sixers. Also, some comments about the spacing being messed up playing Noel and Okafor together etc.

Plumlee and Aminu are playing well for Portland.
The Lakers are tough to watch..

only watched for a minute but I checked twitter and saw this.
Watching the Mets and following twitter. This:
Houston is getting crushed by the Warriors.
Wonder if Miami are starting to think they made a mistake with Tragic- his numbers were poor last season after the trade, they've been abysmal in preseason, and bad in the first two games. They gave up 2 first rounders for him and signed him to a max. Starting to look like that season 2 years a go was a fluke.

2 games in?
I'd wait at least 3 before I blow it up.
Harden has started off the season in a terrible shooting slump. He'll need to get it going soon
