I am beginning to thint that curry is in the same class as jordan, bird and magic now. That shot was awesome. I did not like curry celebrating at the end though.

Steph Curry just set the all-time single season record for threes. Breaking his own record from
Last year. And the year before.

AND HE DID IT IN FEBRUARY.

AFTER HE LEFT THE GAME WITH A SPRAINED ANKLE.

Amazing shot, and his initial celebration was fine...but doing a little dance about 20+ seconds after the shot was a bit too much...and he did it in front of a ref. Almost a bit like taunting, IMO.

I'm a bit surprised- wonder if his dad says anything to him.

yellowboy90 @ 2/27/2016 11:51 PM
really, you guys are talking about his celebration? Let the kids have their fun.
crzymdups @ 2/27/2016 11:54 PM
Hey guys remember when we almost drafted Steph Curry but ended up with Jordan Hill instead?
crzymdups @ 2/27/2016 11:55 PM
That happened the day Michael Jackson died. It was a sad day.

What was up with drafting Jordan Hill? Jennings was the guy there. I always felt that D'Antoni didn't want to deal with Jennings needing mentoring and structure. How does a guy that relies on point guards not draft Jennings when he has Duhon running the point. I still wonder where the Knicks would be if they drafted Bropez over Gallo and Jennings over Hill.

Not a kid-he's going to be 28 in about 2 weeks...he's also the reigning MVP, and he did his celebration...only seemed to go a bit overboard, IMO.

Game was not over, by the way- he should have been in his team huddle talking about how they were going to defend OKC's final shot.

Oscar Robertson was right about one thing though...why does OKC not start covering Curry at half court? Don't know who the defender was, but he had dropped back to the 3 point line and was waiting for Curry until he realized that Curry was going to take the long 3.

Somebody should have been dogging Curry as soon as he got the ball

With BallStreams gone I am back to streaming games when the Knicks are knocked off of msg by the Sabres where I live. I use playon so that I can watch the games on my tv. I am using a new plugin, Streamhunters. I am not sure if it is a site like First Row or others or just available through Playon but they broadcast Real Madrid games and the Chinese basketball league.

Holiday, Teague, and Lawson were also available, as was Collison. You could have also traded out of 8 and gotten one of those guys. Could have also taken DeRozan.

I wasn't a Jennings fan...

Was Derozan drafted after Hill? I know Holiday went 18,19. Jennings was on a radio show right before the draft and sounded really immature. I think that hurt him and might have caused the Knicks not to draft him. Immature with character issues and needing mentoring didn't fit with what the coach was looking for. However, Hill is the guy that has had trouble staying out of trouble. Choking, driving etc. I was not a fan of D'Antoni.

DeRozan #9, that year.

Strange pick...no doubt about it. Was it Walsh or MDA, though?

I was interested in Holiday, who was very young physically-not sure MDA would have liked his outside shot at the time. Pretty sure we asked him in twice for workouts.

And yup...Hill turned out to be guy with some questionable character- never really improved as a player, either, which is more upsetting for me.

Jordan Hill wasn't awful, but clearly there were guys taken after that were better.

The real issue that year is we won a whole lot of meaningless games, and had we actually tanked better, we would of come away with Curry. Of course, we probably still would have dumped him in a trade for some player like Melo or someone else.

Of course think about how stupid teams like Memphis and Minny drafted that year.

"I look at games today, and they'll start a defense at the foul line. When I played, they were picking you up when you got the ball inbounds. So it's a different strategy about playing defense."

"There have been some great shooters in the past. ... But here again, when I played years ago, if you shot a shot outside and hit it, the next time I'm going to be up on top of you. I'm going to pressure you with three-quarters, half-court defense. But now they don't do that. These coaches do not understand the game of basketball, as far as I'm concerned."

Kemet @ 2/28/2016 7:06 PM
SO TRUE .. so true
The NBA has been milked down so low to 20% teams play defense

he's an amazing player. the game was over. the refs have to keep their composure on the court and remain neutral in front of players teams and public. they were just as awed as anyone else. how could they not be?
