Knicks · Preseason Gamethread: BOS 7:30! (page 8)

This is just me wondering - but I wonder if Melo watched stars around the league while he was out and couldn't play like Lebron, Durant, Curry, Westbrook and saw all the effort they put into the defensive side of the ball.

Maybe Bron reaching the Finals with Shump and JR was sort of a wake up call?

Maybe not but just a thought.

I'm not sure I can remember another season in which that happened.

I'm just glad he's not using that reverse karate chop anymore, or as much, to block shots. It looks fun, but you know it's fodder for foul calls.

What's amazing is almost everyone says this but he rarely has ever gotten called for a foul on those blocks because they're so clean. Its weird.

He's perfected the move and has great hands and timing. Now refs are used to him doing it.

That's also true. But he's slowed it down a bit. Last year he was doing it much faster, much more violently.

He definitely is playing hard on both ends of the floor. I am sure the last two years and his injury were a wake up call.

clyde saying melo has to start making others around him better like the superstars in the league.
Finestrg @ 10/16/2015 8:59 PM
I like that Sasha's active at least. Always running around in the half court looking to get open, looking to push off a rebound on an opponent's miss..
knicks1248 @ 10/16/2015 9:00 PM
so lance is obviously going to be part of the rotation, fisher really has his work cut out for him

Sasha is flawed but I think he's a great role player to
Have on the team.

that means a ten-man rotation. who will he displace otherwise?

dk7th @ 10/16/2015 9:03 PM
Afflalo g
Anthony f
Calderon g
Galloway g
Grant g
Lopez f
O’Quinn f
Porzingis f
Williams f

that's nine players right there 4 backcourt 5 frontcourt.

I doubt Lance plays too much unless guys are injured. He's a good backup to have if KP is out. He knows the system. I don't love him at all but I can see why Fish plays him.

Vujacic with a nice quick grown man's corner three.

Viacom is clearly the 5th guard. He will play.

dk7th @ 10/16/2015 9:05 PM
seraphin, early, amundsen, thomas, vujacic

WP76 @ 10/16/2015 9:05 PM

Don't get Seraphin.

he had a ten man rotation without early, sasha and thomas, you think these 3 haven't been playing well enough to earn minutes
