6: LEBRON JAMES: HUMAN RESOURCES
While LeBron is out, Griffin approaches James at the practice facility. The Cavs are sinking, in the midst of losing seven of eight games; the team badly needs help on the wing, and Griffin has learned he can get Iman Shumpert from the Knicks for a song-but the price of the deal is to also take J.R. Smith. Griffin wants Shumpert badly, but he's concerned about the enigmatic Smith. When he asks James what he thinks, James says that he's actually more interested in getting Smith than Shumpert. To ease Griffin's worries, LeBron ends the conversation by saying: "Get J.R. here and I'll take care of it."

Awww..Having a bad day??
you are surprised that he has more power than the GM?
Lebron is franchise. Literally.
If he is not on bard with something it will not fly...
He is The Chicken laying golden eggs.
And nothing else matter.

Most of his hugs are for folks not on the team he purportedly is a fan of...this is pretty evident.
Bit of a man-crush on Smith...something that has always been evident.
As proved In the finals, and in the Knicks vs Pacers & Boston. And in Denver, JR always folds when the team needs him. Glad James was willing to help us out.
"I'll take care of it".........
Sounds like a leader who makes sure his troops will follow.
Heard on one of the sports radio shows I listen to on the way home that he appears a lot older on the court this year. Maybe it is related to his back injury but the guy has logged a lot of minutes.

Maybe he works out too much/hard...guy has a ridiculous physique and a ripped upper body- front and back.
Have to think that the minutes he logs in the weight-room are also going to take a lot out of him, even as they help him compete at such a high level.

Is this a result of letting James take the steering wheel for the team?

Seems to me that majority of he teams with the highest payrolls are also the top teams in the league.
I can't believe he compared 6ixers payroll to clevelands, did he compare thier season ending records

Noticed the same thing in terms of team records...
Marks is just putting out the numbers for folks..., seems pretty objective- guess he wants to keep those job doors open for the future.
This is his chart, I think- seems like one of the best experts around in terms of getting out and talking about the numbers in the NBA.

Here is the reason you let LeBron have the steering wheel...
Cleveland Cavs Franchise Value:
2014 2015
515 mil 915 mil
Why the hate?
Cav's all in and paying the tax. If lebron healthy, they seen as the favorites.
Kudo's to Gilbert for going all in. Won't know until its over if its worth it, but owners putting up the money.
I never hated Prokhorov when he got Pierce and Garnett. I was a hell of a price to pay but he put his chips all in and went for it.
Dolan and his checkbook will be back one day. Hopefully it yields a better return then under Isiah!
LeBron returned to Cleveland because that's the safest and furthest place he could go to get away from Biogenesis in Miami

. He could've done what he's doing in Cleveland anywhere. All those corny commercials about his heart always being at home? Right, while he was in Miami so he could win championships off of Wade's sacrifice.... and using PEDs along the way.

believe it.

Gotta bring some facts to back up your claim.
