He made it into a tough play...
Got to keep Cuddyer on the bench-period. He is useless in the field and at bat. Good guy in the clubhouse and on the bench, but he seems shot as a player at this point.
holy sh1t ... kc ties it on a HR in the 9th!
Let's go Niese!
What a game!!
Dammit why did I stay up for this game when I had to be at work in a few hours

Thinking the same thing but figured that you have to enjoy these games while you have the chance, you never know when you'll get another shot at the World Series. This is a big game tonight we have DeGrom on the mound while the Royals have Cueto who's been struggling this postseason, a win tonight would be a great pickup from the agony of the 14 inning torturefest.

Hes not even close right now. He has a long swing and its gotten very slow. That was just a brutal brutal loss. Im still upset

You can make a case for Lagares being in the starting lineup with Conforto as DH.
You are seeing some cracks in Cespedes' game and perhaps his general attitude, too.
That was no inside the park HR-just a long out that was botched. Center fielder has to take control of that play...period.
Lots of blame to go around.
Harvey had to do a better job once he got that 3-1 lead. You can't give it up immediately.
Still, we had everything set up for a victory, but our closer made one bad pitch to a guy with the right swing to make him pay.

Everything you just said.
I can't believe the Mets couldn't get on base against C.Young. That was disappointing. Cespedes has been disappointing as well this off-season.
Seeing how well the Mets bullpen were able to hold off the Royals line-up was a good sign though. I think the Mets are more than capable of winning the next two easily.

We've been a team that does not swing at bad pitches...we are swinging at bad pitches, mostly in the dirt...and take too many hit worthy balls in a good part of the strike zone.

Cespedes plays with a lackadaisical attitude at times but lets face it there are just a few people on Earth who can do what he can. I think his shoulder probably is hurting his play right now. Yep Harvey threw a change up at the wrong time but how can we be mad at him? Didnt he put down 12 in a row and run 1 shouldve been an out. I am more scared of Clippard you have to hold your breath on every pitch.
Whatever we want to say--this is the same exact game we were winning against LA same exact formula until inning 9. It hurts it hurts bad--so lets go get the W tonight.
One more thing--Familias fast ball has lost 2-4 miles per hr. He hasnt been striking people out maybe hes tired but think back--hes been getting outs but during the season it would be 2 or 3K in the 9th. Now he cant get it by batters.

Are you kidding? We've been swinging at bad pitches all year especially pitches in the dirt. Duda, Cuddyer, Cespedes, Lagares, K.Johnson and J.Uribe all swing at bad pitches. Cespedes just refuses to take a walk. Two times last night he was in a full count and swung through ball four.

Have to agree with NewYork4ever on this.
Too many of our hitters are taking "homerun" swings (Even D.Wright). Every time Cespesdes swings, he is trying to destroy that ball...its ridiculous. Everyone knows how to pitch him and Duda now.
Our players just need to put the ball in play and stop trying to hit a homerun every at bat.

What are you talking about...The kid topped 97 last night!!
You do realize that this is the playoffs and the Mets are playing against the best of the best right now. They are not playing against the Rockies and Reds here. You can't expect him to go out there and strike everyone out like the regular season.
