Grant is our only real pg that makes the players around him better. He can get to the hoop at will. I'd like to see him get 30min a night. He's our future just like KP. I can live with the growing pains, This kid has potential to become great! He's the first real pg the Knicks have had since action Jackson.

calderone is playing bench minutes anyway, he's barely getting 23 minutes, which would be the same exact minutes he would be getting off the bench.
He wouldn't be able to keep up with most speedy back ups so whats the purpose. starting him at least gives him the luxury of two 7 footers to cover for him.
It's up to the coaching staff to figure out the best role for him, and where he makes the team better
I wanted Jerian to start but the Knicks are playing this just right IMO. Bring Jerian along like this and let him continue to gain confidence! He's getting acclimated to this level and showing he deserves to take the reins. You can see him coming on with each game like KP! It's only a matter of time!

I defiantly see your point and as far as masking Jose defense the starting line up with the two 7 footers help.but if grant is our future and he's our best pg then why not play him with our best players and build chemistry with the likes of KP,Melo,Lopez,and AA. I mean grant should also log in minutes with the back ups which he has already built chemistry with. To me starting him is a win win for the team and team defense.
Also I think it's time for Jose to play the Kerr, Paxton role in this offense = 3 point specialist for 10 min per game
put Jose in for the last 5 min of the second quarter when we are up by at least 8 and run plays for him to get open for 3 same goes for the last 5 minutes of the third quarter
