Knicks · Knicks should pick up Erick Green (page 1)
This is a NO brainer and I mean no brainer with where we are at. He can help shore things up--hes a better prospect than Jimmer Freddette.

Greene was one of the best PGs in SL this year. He had 20 assists with 2 TO and avg 15-4 and 2 steals in 24 minutes shooting 54%, he needs a chance--hes tall hes sneaky quick and he can play.

A few of you guys have mentioned this. I never considered the need to do this. Is it mandatory before picking someone up? I guess it would make sense--there was a deadline before 15-man rosters had to be finalized. Could we do that or do we still have to wait for 10-days contracts to start? And when does that start again? December sometime?

We need a good young PG--this kid is perfect--really its a steal. The little bit fo extra salary he makes is not comparable to actually acquiring him. I dont think its in an NBAs team to be cheap on min contracts. This is like finding Galloway last year. You sign him to a 3 years minimum contract with only the first year guaranteed to we keep his rights for a couple of year.
Galloway if he breaks out this year will be paid big. BIG mistake we made when we couldve secured him with multiple non guaranteed years.

Our starting PG is 34 and hes not working out--I can see significant available time for you--great opportunity to play here. Wed be committed to you if you are to us. Then Id commit to play Galloway Grant Greene and Affalo FOR THIS YEAR--use Sasha as 5th guard. Then waive and stretch Calderons contract to keep a space open and add cap room next year(the best possible outcome with us and Jose)

Strengths: Green exploded onto the scene in this his senior year becoming the leading scorer in all of college basketball while going from being a 2nd round prospect to a likely first round prospect ... At 6’4, 185 pounds, Green has below average size for an NBA shooting guard but does have good length ... What is so impressive about Green is that he improved his efficiency drastically in each year of his 4-year career ... Coming off the bench his freshman year, he shot 29% from the floor, 27.5% from 3 point range, and 68% from the line. We desparately need to move past Calderon, he is not even a stop gap at this point.
I would basically start auditioning replacements this year.

Lol, iteresting twist with Jimmer. I do wonder what the kid can do. it is now or never for him and he knows it. I do think his defense could be ok but he lost all that muscle and now I'm not so sure.
